- Final Thoughts on the Best Golf Christmas Gifts for 2024
Updated January 2024 to add the Vessel Prime 2.0 Staff Bag.
I understand that finding the perfect golf gift for your husband, father, or any golfer in your family can be challenging. With so many golf products on the market, it can be overwhelming to figure out which ones are truly worth it. Thankfully, I have personally used and reviewed numerous golf products and can help you find the best gifts for any occasion, whether it’s Christmas, Father’s Day, or a birthday. I’ll provide options that fit every budget and cater to different types of golfers in your life.
Since it’s that time of year again, I have updated this post for June 2023 to include the latest products for Father’s Day. Rest assured, there are more fantastic golf gifts available now than ever before. So, let’s dive in and explore the best options that will bring joy to the golfer in your family, regardless of their budget or preferences.
Accessories
Best Small Gift – MagnetOwl Magnetic Golf Towel
The MagnetOwl magnetic golf towel is unlike any other towel on the market. As its name suggests, it comes with a strong magnet that attaches easily to any surface.
Instead of having to remember where they set their towel down on every hole, golfers can just attach it to one of their clubs.
The MagnetOwl also comes with a two-sided ball marker so golfers have everything they need in one spot.
This is a great stocking stuffer that any golfer will appreciate.
Best Golf Fitness Program – GolfForever Golf Training System
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in 2023 is that being in shape is essential to playing your best golf.
That’s why I employed the GolfForever training system.
Endorsed by Scottie Scheffler, the #1 play in the world, this system provides golfers all the tools and programs they need to increase strength and mobility.
When paired with the GolfForever app, they can customize workouts and programs to their individual needs and preferences.
If you want to get your golfer off the couch this winter, the GolfForever Training program is a great way to do it.
Best Golf Headcovers – Daphne’s Animal Headcovers
If you’ve watched much golf at all, you’ve probably seen the Tiger on Tiger’s driver or the puppy on that of Rory McIlroy.
Those headcovers are the work of the team at Daphne’s headcovers. For years, Daphne’s has been making animal-themed headcovers that golfers love.
They’ll even make a customized headcover just for you when you send them a design.
Having worked with Daphne’s for years, I give them my full endorsement for making a quality product with a personal touch that’s hard to come by these days.
Best Leather Headcovers – Dormie Workshop
Dormie Workshop makes some of the highest-quality leather headcovers in the game.
They utilize only the finest materials and customization is available as well.
If the golfer you’re shopping for has discerning taste, a headcover from Dormie Workshop will make a great gift.
Best Golf Gift for the Whisky Drinker – Dewar’s Double Double Series 37-Year-Old Whisky
Golfers are known for enjoying the occasional adult beverage. And on a cold winter day, nothing gets you warm like a couple fingers of whisky.
One of my personal favorites is Dewar’s Double Double Series 37-Year-Old whisky.
I’ll be the first to say that this isn’t the cheapest bottle of whisky I’ve ever had, which is why it only comes out on the most special of occasions.
But if you bestow a bottle of this stuff on your golfer this Christmas, I’m certain they’ll happily share a glass with you.
Best Ball Marker – OnPoint Golf Ball Markers
In no other sport are there as many accessories available as golf.
One of my favorite accessories this year are OnPoint ball markers. These three-dimensional ball markers utilize alignment technology and spatial acuity to help golfers more accurately read greens and make more putts.
Practical and extremely affordable, these ball markers are another great stocking stuffer.
Best Groove Sharpener – GrooVex Golf High Precision Groove Sharpener
One of the biggest complaints golfers have about their equipment is that the grooves on their wedges wear out. As a result, they can’t get the kind of spin they need to control short shots.
But they don’t have to worry about that anymore thanks to the GrooVex High Precision groove sharpener.
This simple tool is made of carbide 92 Rockewell. It fits snugly inside the grooves and sharpens their edges with a simple back and forth motion.
This gift is affordable and is one your golfer will get a lot of use out of.
Best Smartphone Holder – Desert Fox Phone Caddy
Golfers spend a lot of time on their phones when they’re out on the course. They use their phones to check yardages, play music, and track their score.
As such, they misplace their phones more often than they’d like to admit.
That’s not a worry anymore, however, thanks to the Desert Fox Phone Caddy.
This device secures the smartphone and attaches easily to the frame of the golf cart for easy access.
Best Golf Brush – Grooveit Golf Water Brush
Golfers hate playing with dirty clubs. They cause inconsistent shots and lead to high scores.
There’s no better way for golfers to keep their clubs clean than with the Grooveit Golf water brush.
Golfers just have to fill the cartridge with water, press the release button to water the clubface, and wipe away dirt and grime with the brush. It’s that simple.
Best Recovery Tool – Hyperice Hypervolt 2
As someone who’s played golf my entire life, I can tell you that it can be hard on the body. That’s especially as I’ve grown older.
Thankfully, I discovered the Hyperice Hypervolt 2 massage gun. It uses HyperSmart technology to customize warmup and recovery routines that will have your golfer feeling his or her best both before and after their round.
I’d be willing to bet you’d enjoy using this gift too.
Best Golf Video Game – Golden Tee 3D
The Golden Tee arcade game has had a cult-like following amongst both golfers and nongolfers for decades.
The game has some enhanced features compared to the original version, and even allows you to compete with other players via a Wi-Fi connection.
Updated live leaderboards are pretty cool too.
Best Hand-Made Golf Gear – Seamus Golf
Golfers know quality and craftsmanship when they see it. And Seamus Golf is a company that makes some of the highest quality headcovers and accessories in golf.
All of their products are made using the finest leather, wool, canvas, and synthetic materials.
Weather you’re looking for a premium headcover or a memento that reminds your golfer of the game they love when they’re away from the course, Seamus Golf has plenty of options to choose from.
Best Putter Grip -SuperStroke Traxion Tour Golf Putter Grip
SuperStroke has changed the way golfers think about putting. Their oversized grips have taken the golf world by storm with their ability to help golfers take their hands out of their putting stroke.
Their all-new Traxion Tour grip has proven especially popular this year. Its advanced surface material is soft and gives golfers outstanding responsiveness and feel.
Uniform lower hand profiling also enables them to attain the proper grip every time.
Golfers love making more putts, and this grip can make that happen.
Best Looking Putter Grips – Sweet Rollz Putter Grips
While putter grips can incorporate tech and design features to help golfers make more putts, they also make a statement of style.
Sweet Rollz putter grips come in 35 different models that include bright floral designs and vibrant solid colors that stand out from the crowd.
Festive, fun, and moderately priced, a Sweet Rollz putter grip makes a cool gift.
Best Golf Art for Your Home – Evan Schiller Photography
If the golfer in your life has a keen eye for photography, a print from world-renowned golf photographer Evan Schiller will make their day.
Schiller has scoured the globe and captured some of the game’s most iconic shots. His 2024 calendar would make a tremendous gift as well.
Best Golf Pants – FootJoy ThermoSeries Pants
FootJoy has a reputation for making high-quality golf apparel.
Their all-new ThermoSeries pants are made from brushed woven fabric that’s well-insulated, but plenty breathable.
These pants also feature four-way stretch capability that affords maximum range of motion.
Waist sizes range from 32 to 40 and inseam sizes are 30, 32, and 34.
Best Golf T-Shirts – Swing Juice T-Shirts
Golfers like to look sharp off the course just as much as they do on the course. Swing Juice T-shirts allow them to do just that.
Their T-shirts give off a casual vibe that highlights golfers’ identities with clever phrases and designs.
With plenty of colors, sizes, and designs to choose from, there’s a Swing Juice T-shirt for every golfer.
Best Golf Polos – Proud 90 Golf Polos
The days of baggy polos and pleated khakis are long gone when it comes to golf fashion. Thank goodness.
Today, bright colors and eccentric designs allow golfers to express their own sense of style.
Proud 90 polos exemplify the latest in golf fashion. Their online store is full of dozens of patterns and designs to make any golfer look good.
If you want your golfer to stand out and feel good, a Proud 90 polo will hit the spot this Christmas.
Best All-Day Golf Apparel – Devereux Golf Apparel
Devereux is one of the coolest golf apparel brands to make a splash in recent years. Founded by two brothers from West Texas, their apparel embodies modern golf culture.
Edgy, hip, and individualistic, Devereux’s street wear and on-course apparel is unlike anything else on the market.
Best Golf Rain Gear – Galway Bay Rain Gear
Galway Bay makes the best rain gear in golf. Here’s proof.
The company’s Hydro-Flex 32 fabric repels water better than any material I’ve ever seen. But it’s also incredibly breathable.
A couple pieces I really like are the Roscam Hybrid vest and the Hawthorn II rain jacket.
If your golfer plays in a wet climate, Galway Bay rain gear will be more than worth the investment.
Golf Bags
Best Golf Bag -Vessel Golf Bags
No one makes golf bags quite like Vessel. Their bags are the choice of the vast majority of players on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
All of their bags are made with Tour-grade synthetic leather, and no detail is overlooked in the design or construction process.
Whether your beloved golfer wants a lightweight stand bag, or a heavy-duty cart bag, Vessel is the way to go.
Best Tech Golf Bag -MNML Golf Bags
If you’ve read many of our reviews or checked out the Golfer’s Authority YouTube Channel, you know that I’m a huge fan of MNML golf bags.
They’re minimalistic in their design but have a ton of innovative, cutting-edge features that set them apart too.
Examples include zipperless pockets, built-in smart device chargers, and even solar panels which power the chargers.
The guys at MNML are some of the coolest I’ve met, and their presence in the market is good for the game of golf on every front.
Best Lightweight Golf Bag -Sunday Golf Bags
Sunday Golf makes golf bags that are perfect for a casual nine-hole round or a trip to driving range.
They come in different sizes and can hold varying amounts of clubs.
Sunday is a brand you can trust, and I highly recommend them as a gift for any casual golfer.
Golf Balls
Best Used Golf Balls -Two Guys with Balls
Buying new golf balls isn’t fun. They’re expensive. But they don’t have to be thanks to Two Guys with Balls.
This online company sources used golf balls from all over the country, cleans them up, and gives them a grade based on their condition.
From there, they sell them directly back to the consumer at a fraction of the price of new balls.
The Two Guys with Balls business model is pretty simple, but they have a tremendous reputation for their low prices and reliable service.
Best Tour Golf Balls -Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls
The Titleist Pro V1 is the most popular ball on both the PGA and LPGA Tours. It’s not even close.
More than any other ball, the Pro V1 delivers elite players the very best in terms of both distance and control.
Improvements have been made in the 2023 model and the results speak for themselves.
Most Affordable Golf Balls -Odin X Golf Balls
If you’re shopping for golf balls but don’t want to spend a lot of money, Odin X golf balls are the most affordable of anything out there.
These golf balls give golfers plenty of distance off the tee, but are also surprisingly soft around the green.
I’m also impressed by their durability. Even if you hit a tree or the cart path, these balls will last an entire round.
Golf Clubs
Best Driver Under $500 -TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver
TaylorMade has made the most popular drivers in golf for as long as anyone can recall. Their cutting-edge technology and design features are on another level compared to the competition.
The Stealth 2 is no exception.
The carbon Twist Face’s Inverted Cone Technology to help golfers hit longer drives by generating maximum ball speed.
The Inertia Generator improves the Stealth 2’s aerodynamics compared to previous models. This equates to increased clubhead speed which in turn means more distance.
The Stealth 2 is one of the longest and most forgiving drivers available. And priced at under $500, you’re not going to find anything better.
Best Fairway Wood that’s Easy to Hit -Performance Golf EZ3 Wood
One of the most common complaints I hear from our readers is that they struggle to hit their fairway woods consistently. It’s a problem I can relate to as well.
That was until I found the EZ3 Wood from Performance Golf.
This fairway wood is shorter in length and has a lot more loft than traditional fairway woods. For these reasons, it’s a lot easier for golfers to hit up in the air out of any lie.
The EZ3 also comes with really cool extras that make its $189 price point all the more attractive.
Best Complete Golf Club Set –Stix Golf
If a dear friend or member of your family is just getting into the game of golf, there’s no reason for them (or you) to go out and spend thousands of dollars on all the latest and greatest equipment.
Instead, buying a complete, packaged set is the way to go.
The complete set from Stix golf comes with all the necessary clubs that are well-built from premium titanium, stainless steel, and graphite.
Multiple height options and shaft flexes give you plenty of choices.
Best Putter -L.A.B Putters
LAB putters haven’t been around that long, but their popularity has skyrocketed.
LAB putters take into account a golfer’s specific body type and putting stroke to create a custom putter whose lie angle and balance are exact.
Fittings can be scheduled through the LAB website and there are multiple head styles to choose from.
Gloves
Best Golf Glove -Palm Golf Gloves
Most golfers prefer to wear a glove when they play. Gloves protect their hands and help with feel.
My favorite gloves are made by Palm. They come in a number of different colors and designs and are made from AAA cabretta leather.
Even better, these gloves last a lot longer than other gloves I’ve tried.
Golf GPS
Best Shot Trackers -Arccos Smart Sensors (Gen 3+)
Technology has changed the game of golf in a lot of different ways. One way is with the advent of shot tracking capability.
Arccos and their Gen 3+ shot sensors lead the way in this regard.
Golfers attach the sensors to the ends of their clubs. As they hit shots, their data is recorded and stored in the Arccos Caddy app.
After enough data has been collected, the app will even make club recommendations. That’s pretty cool.
For golfers that love tech and in-depth data, the Arccos Gen 3+ Smart Sensors are the perfect gift.
Golf Watch
Best GPS Golf Watch -Garmin Approach S70
Another part of the technological revolution in golf has been the advent and continual progression of GPS watches.
In 2023, there’s no more advanced watch than the Garmin Approach S70.
Not only does it give golfers yardages to every point on the course, it has a number of different views and modes that allow them to read greens, chart the hole location, and even track stats.
Off the course, the Approach S70 has as many fitness features as any watch out there. It can even plan workouts and track your stats based on the specific activity you’re engaged in.
For the golfer that likes tech, fitness, and lots of information, the Approach S70 is a must have.
Launch Monitors
Best Performing Golf Launch Monitor -Uneekor EYE MINI Launch Monitor
After trying a bunch of different launch monitors this year, my favorite was the Uneekor EYE MINI.
This launch monitor provides golfers with all their essential swing and ball flight data instantaneously.
It can be used inside or outside, and its software is compatible with iPads and most PCs.
Best Launch Monitor Under $750 -Rapsodo MLM2Pro Launch Monitor
Rapsodo pioneered portable launch monitors, and they’ve continued to make great units since day one.
Their MLM2Pro is arguably the best launch monitor under $750. Its features include real-time shot data, Shot Trace technology, shot data dispersion and storage, and slow-motion replay.
Reliable, functional, and affordable, there’s no going wrong with the Rapsodo MLM2Pro launch monitor.
Best Golf Simulator -SkyTrak+ Golf Launch Monitor and Simulator
The SkyTrak+ simulator sits in a league of its own when it comes to golf simulators. Not only can it be used as a launch monitor indoors and out, its simulator feature gives golfers access to 15 WGT courses.
It also comes with some really cool extras that only enhance the experience.
Best Golf Launch Monitor Under $500 -Garmin Approach R10 Portable Launch Monitor
The Garmin Approach R10 portable launch monitor provides the best value.
It measures more than a dozen essential swing and ball flight parameters and even allows golfers to record video of their swing.
A fully charged battery also lasts up to 10 hours which prevents golfers from constantly having to plug it in.
Rangefinders
Best Rangefinder Under $200 -Pinned Prism Slope Rangefinder
Rangefinders vary a lot in price. The fanciest ones can run upward of $1,000. I don’t know about you, but that’s out of my budget.
My favorite rangefinder under $200 is the Pinned Prism slope rangefinder. It measures targets up to 1,000 yards away and even takes into account uphill and downhill slopes.
Basic but functional, there’s nothing wrong with the Pinned Prism slope rangefinder.
Best Rangefinder Under $100 -Gogogo Sport Vpro Laser Rangefinder
The ultimate budget rangefinder is the Gogogo Sport Vpro.
It has a range of 650 yards and vibrates when the target is acquired.
The field of vision is crystal clear, and the diopter is easily adjusted.
Golf Shoes
Best All-Day Golf Shoes -True Linkswear Golf Shoes
True Linkswear makes the most comfortable golf shoes in the game. Just ask any one of the millions of golfers who wear them regularly.
Made from the very best materials and designed with comfort, performance, and stability in mind, any pair of True Linkswear golf shoes will make for a happy golfer on Christmas Day.
Best Golf Shoes Under $200 -SQAIRZ Golf Shoes
SQAIRZ golf shoes are unlike any other.
They’re designed with a square toe to help golfers maximize ground coverage with their feet. This increases their ability to maximize ground force connection and create more clubhead speed as they swing.
The STA-PUT lacing system keeps golfers from having to constantly retie their shoes. Once they’re laced up, they stay in place.
The soft spikes are also located at strategic spots on the sole where golfers apply the most pressure against the ground. Even more, SQAIRZ replaces the soft spikes for free when they wear out.
SQAIRZ shoes are trusted by some of the best players in the game, and the golfer you’re thinking of is sure to benefit from a pair too.
Best Performance Insole -VKTRY Insoles
A lot of golfers wear insoles in their golf shoes.
In my experience, VKTRY insoles perform the best. They’re individually cut from aerospace-grade carbon fiber that’s customized to the shape of your foot.
Having sold more than 150,000 pairs of insoles worldwide, VKTRY is a name you can trust.
Speakers
Best Bluetooth Speaker -Blue Tees Player+ GPS Speaker
Playing music on the golf course has never been more popular than it is now.
Not only does the Blue Tees Player+ speaker put out a great sound, it gives golfers GPS yardages as they make their way around the course.
Yardages can be viewed on the electronic display and are also given audibly through the speaker.
This is a great gift for any golfer that likes their tunes.
Training Aids
Best Golf Swing Training Gift -Hackmotion Training Aid
I’ve worked really hard on my golf game this year in an effort to become a single-digit handicap.
One of the training aids I’ve used the most is the Hackmotion. It’s taught me how to properly use my wrists and control the clubface throughout my swing. The results speak for themselves.
This training aid can help golfers of all abilities.
Best Practice Putting Green – Birdie Ball Putting Greens
A lot of golfers can’t get to the course to practice during the holiday season because of the weather.
But Birdie Ball putting greens make it easy to practice from the comfort of their home.
These artificial turf putting greens come in different sizes and have different hole configurations so practice never becomes mundane.
Best Hitting Mat – Performance Golf Launch Deck
The Launch Deck from Performance Golf was invented by Tiger Woods’ former coach, Hank Haney.
What I love about this training aid is that it trains you to deliver the club to the ball on the correct path with a square clubface.
For golfers that struggle with hooks or slices, this is the perfect training aid.
Best Swing Training Club -Performance Golf Straight Stick
A lot of golfers can’t get to the course to practice during the holiday season because of the weather.
But Birdie Ball putting greens make it easy to practice from the comfort of their home.
These artificial turf putting greens come in different sizes and have different hole configurations so practice never becomes mundane.
