The vast majority of amateurs struggle to hit their fairway woods with any kind of regular consistency. Most fairway woods are too long, too stiff, and don’t have enough loft. Not the EZ 3 though. This club’s design features make it easy for average golfers like you and I not only get the ball in the air, but gain both control and consistency from any lie. If you’re tired of struggling with your fairway woods and want to gain consistency and start shooting lower scores, give the EZ3 a try. My guess is you’ll like what it does for your game, just like me.

You will get: Exaggerated leading edge improves turf interaction for more consistent contact out of any lie. Increased loft and low CG promote high launch conditions making it easier to get the ball in the air. Shorter length gives golfers added control.

Aside from the 2-iron I used to carry back in the day, my 3-wood is the club I struggle to hit the most consistently.  I don’t know if you’re the same way, but it seems like for every solid shot I hit with my 3-wood, I hit 5 that are chunked, skulled, hooked, or sliced.

Every year, I get excited to try the newest 3-woods from the major manufacturers, and I just can’t seem to find one that I can hit consistently.

The saga continued and I thought all hope was lost until one of the guys in my regular group let me hit his 3-wood on the range.  I’d never heard of the thing, but I could hardly miss it.

Turns out, it was the Performance Golf EZ 3 fairway wood. . . I bought one the same day and it’s been in my bag ever since.

Let’s take a closer look at all the cool stuff this club has going for it.

Who Should Buy the Performance Golf EZ3 Fairway Wood?

Chances are, you won’t see any PGA or LPGA Tour players sporting the EZ 3 fairway wood.  That’s because it wasn’t designed for them.  Players of this caliber have spent years perfecting their swings and have the swing speed to hit their 3-woods up in the air with ease.

The EZ 3 was designed for amateurs (whose golf swings are far from perfect) like you and me.

This club was engineered to help amateurs get the ball up in the air and make solid contact consistently from almost any lie.

So, unless you routinely find your name on the leaderboard on national television on Sunday afternoon, there’s a good chance the EZ 3 can make a difference in your game.

Design and Technology

For years, 3-wood design has seen loft decrease.  That’s right, all the major club companies have continually decreased the lofts in their 3-woods in the name of distance.

Unfortunately, this creates a problem for a lot of amateur golfers; the less loft a golf club has, the harder it becomes to hit solidly and up in the air.

That’s why the EZ 3 fairway wood comes with Precision-Launch loft of 17.5 degrees.  Most modern 3-woods have 15 degrees of loft, or even less.  The added loft of the EZ 3 helps golfers get the ball in the air, especially those with slower swing speeds.

The result is more control, higher flight, and shots that carry a lot farther and land soft.

There can be a lot of variation in the lofts of fairway woods mass-produced by the biggest manufacturers.  You don’t have to worry about that with the EZ 3 though.  Every club undergoes Pure-Agle Calibration to make sure it’s exactly 17.5 degrees of loft.

The leading edge on the EZ 3 is also a lot different than that of other 3-woods.  The EZ 3’s leading edge is much more pronounced and curved.  Why is this advantageous?  Because it allows the clubface to interact with the turf much more than the less noticeable leading edges of standard 3-woods.  In turn, you’re able to hit the EZ 3 out of almost any lie – sand, thick rough, even mud and dirt.

Clubheads on traditional fairway woods can be heavy.  For golfers with slower swing speeds, this can inhibit their ability to get the ball up in the air.  As a result, they don’t carry their long shots as far as they should.

But it’s a different story with the EZ 3.  Its Zero G clubhead is extra lightweight.  This allows golfers to generate maximum clubhead speed and get the ball up in the air.

The Aero-Corwn of the EZ 3 is also lighter than the crowns found in traditional fairway woods.  This allows weight to be distributed into other areas of the club where it can be used more efficiently.  The result here is a lower CG which also works to promote high launch conditions.

On top of that, the Zero G clubhead has a Hot Launch clubface that’s made from some of the thinnest, strongest steel known to man.  Whether you strike a shot out of the sweet spot or slightly off-center, you know it’s going to come off with a ton of speed.  And speed equals distance.

No golf club is complete without a quality shaft to match a well-engineered clubhead.  The High-Velocity shaft in the EZ 3 is expertly balanced and designed to allow golfers with all different types of swing speeds to maximize the transfer of energy between the clubhead and ball at impact.  Here again, the shaft works with your swing to maximize ball speed and therefore distance.

Suffice it to say, no detail was overlooked in the EZ 3’s design.

Specs

The Performance Golf EZ 3 fairway wood comes with 17.5 degrees of loft.

The High-Velocity shaft is stiff flex.

But what’s even better about this club is that it comes with a ton of extras.

First, the EZ Swing System Video series lets you get tips from some of the game’s top instructors to quickly overcome some of the most common swing faults.

The Easy Tempo Technique video series features 6-time major champion, Sir Nick Flado.  In the video, Nick lets you in on his best kept secrets so you can be hitting long, consistent drives down the middle like you never have before.

Next is the Winning Wedges video.  If you ask any pro, they’ll tell you that the key to shooting lower scores is getting the ball close to the hole from inside of 100 yards.  That’s exactly what the prominent instructors will teach you to do in this video.

While having high-quality instructional videos is great, nothing beats having your golf swing questions answered in real time.  The EZ3 livestream lets you do just that.  With this bonus feature, you’ll be able to interact with renowned coach Eric Cogorno face to face on your road to improvement.

Lastly, the EZ 3 package includes a 14-day free trial to Scratch Club.  This is the equivalent of Netflix for golfers and gives you access to hundreds of hours of instructional content and video.

You get EZ 3 and all the bonus features for the modest price of just $189.

Our Experience

As I mentioned earlier, the 3-wood is a club I’ve always struggled with.  No matter how many I’ve tried over the years, I’ve never been able to find one I could hit consistently.

That’s until the Performance Golf EZ 3 came along.

This club’s shorter length, increased loft, pronounced leading edge, and light weight make it easy for me to hit flush, crisp golf shots out of any lie.

More than any club in my bag in recent memory, the EZ 3 has been a game changer.

Conclusion

The vast majority of amateurs struggle to hit their fairway woods with regular consistency.  Most fairway woods are too long, too stiff, and don’t have enough loft.

Not the EZ 3 though.  This club’s design features make it easy for average golfers like you and me not only to get the ball in the air but also to gain both control and consistency from any lie.
