Ping G400 Fairway Wood Detailed Review

Design and Technology

The Ping G400 Fairway Wood is designed to produce maximum distance with excellent forgiveness for players of all skill levels. Ping has engineered a special machined steel face, that is designed to be very thin, strong, and flexible to produce higher ball speeds for more distance.

The Ping G400 Fairway Wood has also been designed with an extremely thin crown to save weight and increase the total Moment of Inertia. This innovative design helps the G400 to be an extremely forgiving club. Another feature of the Ping G400 crown is Ping’s famous Turbulators. These Turbulators help to reduce the drag of the clubhead, which in turn increase speed and maximize distance.

Another noticeable feature on the Ping G400 Fairway Wood is the Machined Back Weight located at the end of the club. This weight, like the lighter crown, is designed to lower the Moment of Inertia to help provide more forgiveness on mis-hit shots.
