Updated February 2024 to update current pricing information.

Have you ever considered whether you’re getting the most out of your golf ball? We often see ads for golf balls like the Titleist Pro V1, but should every golfer really be playing the same kind of golf ball as the world’s best players? If you have a slower clubhead speed and different skillset than the top tour professionals, then you would likely want a different golf ball as well. Bridgestone had this type of player in mind when they were designing their E7 golf ball. The Bridgestone E7 was designed for the golfer who has a clubhead speed under 95 mph and is looking to maximize their distance with their current swing. The Bridgestone E7 golf ball is the perfect golf ball for a mid to high handicap player with slower swing speed who Is looking to take their golf game to the next level.

Key Features

  • The Bridgestone E7 is a three-layer golf ball which was designed for one reason: maximum distance. This golf ball features a Surlyn cover, a very durable material often found in distance-oriented golf balls.
  • The Bridgestone E7 also features a mantle layer which is designed to reduce spin, which helps gain more distance. The mantle of this golf ball is quite firm and provides quite a “pop” at impact.
  • The Bridgestone E7 has a “speed enhancing” core. This core is designed to promote compression which increases ball speed and adds even more distance.

Bridgestone E7 Ball Detailed Review

Design and Technology

The Bridgestone E7 is a golf ball designed for players with swings speeds under 90 mph. This golf ball is made for mid to high-handicappers looking for more distance and accuracy on the course.

The E7 utilizes Bridgestone’s new Dual Dimple Technology that has been designed to provide two main benefits. First, the interior dimple is made to reduce drag at impact and in flight, which allows for greater speed and distance. Second, the exterior dimple shallows out the angle of decent of the ball, meaning greater rollout and distance.

The Bridgestone E7 is a three-layer golf ball, with all three layers being focused on providing greater distance and accuracy for the player. The core is designed to help golfers compress the ball, which is key to getting maximum distance. The mantle softens the feel of the golf ball but it also provides greater accuracy when off of the tee. Lastly, the cover is made of Surlyn, a material typically used in distance golf balls which maximizes distance in addition to the straight flight technology.

Many players like to line up their golf balls, especially while putting. If you’re one of these players, the Bridgestone E7 features a red arrow on the cover of the golf ball to help with alignment. This is a very bold feature and, while it is not used by all players, gives the E7 a signature look.
