We’re back at it with another Vessel golf bag review. Over the last couple of years, we’ve fostered a close relationship with this company, and we couldn’t be luckier. They send us new product to test out whenever they have it, and it’s always top-of-the-line stuff.
We recently got our hands on their brand new VLS Lux Stand Bag. It lived up to our now exceedingly high expectations in every way.
The VLS Lux Stand Bag is slightly larger than the VLS Stand Bag. With that being said, it embodies everything that a quality carry bag should, and then some.

Design and Technology
While the Vessel VLS Stand Bag is a work of art unto itself, the VLS Lux has even more going for it.
The first feature that pops out is the premium material with which it’s constructed. Tour-grade material and genuine leather accents give this bag a clean, yet striking look. They’re also meant to last and won’t fade or fray in the sun or wet weather.
The zippers on the pockets are both classy looking, and functional. They’re made from YKK metal, and each has a leather pull tab. How about the fact that they’re guaranteed to be waterproof too?
Next, the stability of this bag is worth noting. The Patented Rotator Stand System and premium carbon fiber legs keep this bag upright no matter where you set it down.
We can’t get too far along here without talking about the pockets. The most noticeable is the large garment pocket on the side of the bag that has enough room to store all the clothing you could ever need.
Next, both the rangefinder and valuables pockets are lined with antimicrobial velour. In these pockets, you don’t have to worry about items getting scratched or scuffed.
The water bottle sleeve is cooler-lined and has a magnetic tab for easy access.
The four-point EQ2 double strap is one of the most comfortable on the market too. Adjusted in the right position for your body type, the bag’s weight is evenly distributed across your back.
Other features include a dual-purpose towel ring and bottle opener, matching rain hood, quilted hip pad, umbrella holder, and pen holder.

The body of the bag is made from Tour-Grade synthetic leather that’s meant to stand the test of time and is easy to clean.

Colors include pebbled white, perforated black, crosshatch black, crosshatch maroon, and crosshatch natural.

Our Experience
When it’s cool enough in my hometown of Phoenix, I prefer to walk. And I’ve done so with the latest edition of the Vessel VLS Lux Stand Bag. I wasn’t disappointed.
Each time I put this bag on my back, I’m surprised by just how light it is considering its size. Even stuffed full of all my gear, I never get tired packing this bag around the course.
The attention to detail and careful craftsmanship are apparent too. No matter how many rounds I play with this bag, its colors maintain their sheen and the seams have yet to fray.
Most of all though, I’ve never had a bag that’s as stable as the VLS Lux. No matter what kind of terrain I find myself in (sometimes it’s ugly), this bag stays upright.
In short, I’ve yet to come across a more well-built, functional stand bag than this
