You might recall that we wrote a review about the MNML brand and their golf bags last year.  They burst onto the scene last year and their golf bags became hugely popular in no time at all.

They haven’t slowed down this year, and it doesn’t appear they will anytime soon.  Their latest iteration is the MV2 golf bag.  This lightweight stand bag builds upon last year’s model and has more features than any other bag on the market.

If you like to walk, want to have everything at your fingertips, but don’t want to feel like you’re lugging a lot of weight, the MV2 stand bag is for you.

Key Features

  • Bag only weighs five pounds.
  • Custom logo and embroidering are available.
  • Patent pending phone holder and filming pocket allow you to record your entire experience out on the course.

Who Should Buy the MNML MV2 Golf Bag?

MNML golf bags are made with the serious golfer in mind.  That’s certainly the case with MV2.

If there’s one thing we’ve come to realize about serious golfers, it’s that they like to walk, and they cherish their equipment.

The MNML MV2 golf bag affords golfers maximum enjoyment and efficiency whether you’re trudging over 36 holes at Bandon Dunes, or just out for a casual nine after work with your buddies.

MNML MV2 Golf Bag Detailed Review

Design and Technology

When it comes to design and technology, you’d be hard-pressed to find another bag on the market more advanced than the MV2.

Buckle your seatbelt.

The first thing pops with this bag is the microsuede material it’s comprised of.  This is high quality stuff.  It doesn’t fade in the sun and is easy to clean.  Both the white and black color schemes make a bold statement.

Another feature I absolutely love is the patent pending phone holder and filming pocket.  I thought it would be cool to film my round the first time I used the MV2.  I did, but unfortunately, I had one of my worst rounds of the year, so I didn’t care to share it with anyone.  But can you imagine being able to set your bag behind you during your practice session to video what you’re working on?  This feature is invaluable.

The Backpack Strap system is quite comfortable as well.  It’s easy to adjust and there’s plenty of padding to protect your shoulders.

The magnetic pocket closures shouldn’t go unnoticed either.  Unlike zippers, they don’t get stuck.  You won’t ever have to worry about stuff falling out as you meander down the fairway.

If you like to walk, you know the importance of staying hydrated.  The MV2 has a thermal pocket that can hold five 16-ounce bottles.  Or if you’re like me, it keeps a sixer cold for hours.  Yes please!

The ball and side pockets on the previous MNML stand bags were first-class.  They’re even better on the MV2.  The openings are wider and the pockets themselves are bigger.  There’s plenty of room for all your balls, tees, gloves, and whatever else.

What’s even more is that the MV2 comes with a Bluetooth speaker that’s waterproof and has a battery life of eight hours.  What other bag on the market offers this kind of extra?

Specs

Despite all the MV2’s features, the folks at MNML have found a way to keep the carry weight of this bag lighter than you’d expect.  It weighs just five pounds.

Four club dividers make it easy to keep your sticks organized and protected.

The thermal pocket is worth another mention as well.  You have enough room to store drinks for your entire group.  Just make sure your partners buy!

Our Experience

Over the last couple of years, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the guys at MNML.  Not only are they cool dudes that pride themselves in both their product and taking care of their customers, they’re golfers themselves.

When it comes to the MV2, I couldn’t be happier.  As someone that has more golf bags than any reasonable human should, this is hands down my favorite carry bag.  It’s features and amenities are endless.  And unlike a lot of other manufacturers that claim “cool stuff” that breaks down after minimal use, the MV2 is built to withstand whatever you can throw at it.

I won’t be switching carry bags any time soon.

PROS

  • Microsuede material and durable kickstand stand the test of time and colors won’t fade in the sun.
  • Patent Pending Phone Holder and Filming Pocket allow you to record your whole experience.
  • Moneyback guarantee and extensive warranty are unprecedented.

CONS

  • Limited color options of black and white might not be preferable for some players.
  • Price point is higher than other stand bags.
  • Custom painting may extend shipping times.

Conclusion

It’s taken a while, but golf has finally come into the 21st century.  Instead of being a sport for old guys sporting pleated khakis and blue blazers, it’s become hip and cool.

When it comes to bags, no one understands this more than the team at MNML.  The MV2 stand bag is the epitome.

It’s countless features and quality build are nothing short of cutting-edge.  I couldn’t be luckier to have built a lasting relationship with this company.

When you get your hands on the MV2 stand bag, you’ll feel like part of the family too.
