Now more than ever, golfers are looking for ways to get their fix when they can’t get to the course.  This has largely been spurred on by increased access to affordable launch monitors and simulator software packages.

And if there’s one name that leads the way when it comes to simulators, it’s GolfZon.  New for 2023 is the GolfZon 2 Vision simulator.  It’s the culmination of more than 23 years of research and development.  No other golf simulator on the market comes close when in terms of technological capabilities, advanced features, and usability.

The GolfZon 2 Vision simulator is about as it gets for simulators in the “affordable” category.

Let’s have a closer look.

Key Features

  • 24 positions and a multi-dimensional hitting mat allow you to hit countless different shots from all kinds of varied lies.
  • High-speed cameras capture 400 frames per second and provide the most detailed shot and clubhead data.
  • Touchscreen monitor kiosk is highly functional and makes system navigation easy.

Who Should Buy the GolfZon 2 Vision Golf Simulator?

The answer to this question is pretty simple.  It’s any golf nut that can reasonably afford its modest price.

The GolfZon 2 Vision simulator is as close as you can get to the real thing without physically being on the course or at the driving range.

Not only is it a blast to play on, it’s also a great tool to fine-tune your game and identify your strengths and weaknesses.

Design and Technology

The major factor that makes the GolfZon 2 Vision simulator so appealing compared to the competition is its incorporation of world-class design and technology.  To give you an idea, the company has more than 250 patents.  Show me another golf brand that can make that claim.

That aside, the first thing that jumps out at me with this simulator is that it has more than 200 different golf courses you can play; everything from the iconic Pebble Beach to the windswept links at St. Andrews.  It’s safe to say you’ll never get bored playing the same course over and over.

A lot of the indoor simulators I’ve reviewed have nothing more than a basic mat that you hit shots from.  That’s not the case with the GolfZon 2 Vision.  Its moving swing plate has 24 different positions and all types of different lies you play off.

Additionally, it allows you to simulate putting just like you’re out on the course.  That’s thanks to the LED putting guide that shows precisely where to aim and how putts break.  Putting isn’t much more than an afterthought with other simulators.

Another really cool feature about the mat and auto swing plate is the auto-tee feature.  Before you start your round, simply adjust the tee to your preferred height, and the system will tee the ball up for you automatically.  I know that sounds a little lazy, but not having to bend down on every tee box is pretty cool.

The same goes for ball retrieval.  The system automatically returns the balls back to the mat.  Say goodbye to the days of having to break your rhythm and go pick up a small bucket in front of the screen.

The fun really starts when we begin talking about this system’s high-speed cameras.  They capture 400 frames per second and provide instantaneous feedback not just in the form of a tracer on the screen, but of every key ball flight and clubhead data point you could imagine.

The 3-d graphics are better than anything I’ve come across too.  They’re vibrant, crystal-clear, and every single detail shows up on the screen.

Feel like having a little fun instead of just playing another round of golf?  You’re in luck.  The GolfZon Vision 2’s arcade software lets you play fun games like darts and blocks with up to six people at the same time.  This is a great feature your buddies are sure to love on game day, or whenever else you have a chance to get together.

Vision Plus software really enhances the experience with this simulator too.  It gives you online connectivity, lets you play in interactive tournaments with other GolfZon users, gives you access to the GolfZon app, lets you review past swings, and a whole lot more.

GDR software lets you get the most out of your technical practice.  It provides key performance data for things like ball flight, swing capture, posture adjustment, and clubhead speed to name a few.

As you play more and more, the virtual caddie will become familiar with your game, guide you through each hole, and even make club recommendations based on your past performance.

Considering the plethora of features and functions this simulator has, its touchscreen monitor kiosk is remarkably easy to use and navigate.

Suffice it to say, there isn’t much the GolfZon 2 Vision simulator can’t do.

Our Experience

I’ve been fortunate to try out just about every indoor simulator on the market, and nothing comes close to the experience the GolfZon 2 Vision gives you.

It’s technologically more advanced than anything else, and its software, clarity, and overall usability are far superior as well.

It’s tough to put into words just how cool this simulator is.  You have to experience it for yourself.

PROS

  • Sheer number of golf courses and different game modes means you’ll never get bored.
  • Multi-surface mat and moving swing plate allow you to simulate any shot you’d face on a real course.
  • High-definition, crystal-clear graphics are just like the real thing.

CONS

  • Though reasonable, the price point might be too high for some golfers.
  • Large indoor space is needed.
  • Installation can take some time.

Conclusion

There’s nothing better than enjoying a round of golf out on the course with the people you care about the most, or even by yourself.  The smell of freshly cut grass, the sun soothing your skin, the wind in your hair, the experience is hard to beat.

But getting to the golf course and dedicating the entire day to a round of golf isn’t always possible.

That’s why indoor simulators have become so popular in recent years.

And no one does it better than GolfZon.  The 2 Vision Simulator is the best one they’ve come out with to date.

If you’ve never had the privilege of playing on this simulator, you’re missing out.  Chances are when you do, you’ll want to do it again, again, and again.
