Design and Technology
The most obvious feature of the AI Smoke Max is its AI-designed clubface. The R&D team at Callaway used AI to analyze more than 250,000 individual swings, 1,040,000 data points, 50,000 face iterations, and 80,000 lines of code to configure a clubface that delivers perfect launch conditions and exceptionally tight shot dispersion.
Another feature that sets the AI Smoke Max driver apart are the 21 micro deflections that are strategically placed across the face and act as miniature sweet spots. In short, these micro deflections let golfers realize increased distance and accuracy, even on drives that aren’t struck in the center of the clubface.
The AI Smoke Max also has a 360-degree Carbon Chassis that’s 15% lighter than those found on previous Callaway drivers. Because the Chassis is lighter, Callaway has been able to move weight to the perimeter of the clubhead where it’s used more efficiently. This allows launch conditions to be further optimized, increases MOI, and adds stability.
Golfers of all abilities love the AI Smoke Max’s adjustable perimeter weighting as well. A sliding weight is located in the back of the clubhead. It enables up to 19 yards of shot shape correction so golfers can really dial in their desired ball flight.
Like I said, there’s no shortage of tech or design features that make the AI Smoke Max driver one of the most revolutionary in the game.

The Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max driver comes in lofts of 9.5, 10.5, and 12 degrees. It measures 45.75” in length, has a lie angle of 58 degrees, and the clubhead is 460cc.

With that being said, I can honestly say that the Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max is one of my favorites. Not only does its versatility appeal to golfers of all abilities, but it exceeds expectations in terms of distance, accuracy, forgiveness, stability, and overall performance.
Having the ability to correct ball flight by up to 19 yards via the sliding back weight only adds to this driver’s appeal.
