Since rangefinders first came into the hands of golfers over 20 years ago, a lot has changed.  Technology has allowed them to evolve, and today they’re capable of doing a lot more than just measuring the distance to the flag.

The CaddyTalk Cube rangefinder is looking to push the technology edge a step further with its Caddy Mode feature.  It’s pretty darn cool, and I can’t wait to tell you more about it.

Key Features

  • Caddy Mode allows you to get the distance from your ball to flag without standing directly beside your ball.
  • Distances can be measured in both yards and meters.
  •  E slope and M slope allow you to measure adjusted yardages that account for either total distance and perceived ball flight, or factors like slope, wind, temperature, and elevation.

Who Should Buy the CaddyTalk Cube Laser Rangefinder?

There are so many rangefinders out there to choose from, choosing the right one for your game can seem overwhelming.  All of them have basic functions, but some are more advanced while others are easier to use.

The CaddyTalk Cube is perfect for golfers of any ability that want to be able to get the yardage from their ball to the target without having to be right beside their golf ball.  If you play a course that frequently operates under cart path only conditions, this rangefinder will save you a lot of trouble and help speed up play.

Design and Technology

Operationally, the CaddyTalk Cube has all the features of modern rangefinders.

It measures gross yardages, as well as adjusted yardages that consider slope, wind, temperature, and elevation.

To change from yards to meters, just double tap the mode button on the bottom of the rangefinder.

In order to switch between E and M slope yardages, just hold the mode button.  If you’re playing in a tournament, make sure these modes are turned off.

You’ll never have to worry about wondering if you’re locked in on the flag with the CaddyTalk Cube.  It’s pin finder jolt feature vibrates to let you know when you’re locked in on the flag.

What really sets this rangefinder apart, however, is Caddy Mode.  This function utilizes triangulation technology that allows you to find the distance between two points from a different standing point.

As an example, let’s say you’re playing a golf course where carts are restricted to the paths only and your ball is on the opposite side of the fairway from the cart path.  Under normal circumstances, you’d have to bring two or three clubs and your rangefinder with you so you could get beside your golf ball and shoot the yardage.  The CaddyTalk Cube lets you capture the image of your golf ball from a distance, then shoot the flag from a distance.  Then, triangulation technology kicks in and lets you know what the distance between point A (your golf ball) and point B (the flag is).  This is what sets this rangefinder apart from all the others.

So here is how you do it

Step 1– Measure the distance between yoursel fand the ball (or the first point)

Step 2 – Measure the Distance from yourself to the target

Caddy Mode Automatically calculates the distance, which is super accurate!

Our Experience

When I first heard about the CaddyTalk Cube and its triangulation technology that allows you to shoot yardages between two points from a distance, I’ll admit that I was pretty skeptical.  With that said, I couldn’t resist giving it a try, and I’m sure glad I did. . .

Not only does this rangefinder have all the functions of top-of-the-line rangefinders, it also sets itself apart with Caddy Mode and triangulation technology.  I tried this out on the course from several different locations and I’m here to tell you it’s deadly accurate.

This rangefinder saves a ton of time (especially with my regular group), and that’s a huge plus in my book.
