I remember when my dad first took me out on the golf course. I couldn’t have been much more than four or five years old, and I was nothing more than a caddy who carried his clubs and tended the flag. It was my first exposure to the game I now love as much as anything.
Not knowing any better I talked when I wasn’t supposed to, and inevitably cost everyone in the group a few shots with my antics. I got a stern talking-to and quickly learned that golf was a game of good manners, respect, and absolutely no noise was to be made during someone’s shot.
