Just a short drive south of Rochester you’ll find Ravenwood Golf Club. When it opened in 2003 Golf Digest called this track the “5th Best New Public Golf Course in the United States.”
Unlike a lot of courses this far north, the greens and fairways at Ravenwood are bent grass. The surface is a dream to play off.
The routing is somewhat open but demands precision on approach shots into the green. Distance control is key as being above the hole can be treacherous.
A hidden gem that’s easy to get to, don’t overlook Ravenwood.
