Even though some golfers will only play when the weather is ideal, those of us who are more serious about golf or have a golf trip planned understand the value of rain gear. I recently visited Pebble Beach, and the weather forecast said there was a good chance of rain.
After traveling so far and making all the preparations, I wasn’t going to skip my round because of a little rain. So, while I didn’t need my raincoat at Pebble Beach, I did use it in Minnesota this fall during some cold rainy weather.
With my previous Nike rain gear having recently been retired, the introduction of the Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT rain jacket was a welcome addition to the gear that we currently had out for review.
There are several significant changes from last year’s Storm-FIT series. In fact, this jacket bears little resemblance to the previous year’s series.
The jacket’s shoulder and elbow areas are made of an extremely thin neoprene-like material that can stretch to a variety of positions without feeling tight or restricted. This is a performance piece that stays out of your way while golfing. The freedom of movement is simply breathtaking.
