Uneekor AI Trainer Review: A SMARTER Way to Analyze and Improve Your Golf Swing!

Last Modified Date:

Last updated: August 19, 2026.

Uneekor's AI Trainer watches your swing with two cameras, tracks 60-plus swing checkpoints in under 5 seconds, and then writes you a coaching report. I ran it cold, no warm-up, and it scored my first swing a 72 out of 100. So is it worth buying? Yes, if you're already practicing indoors year-round and you want to know why a shot went wrong instead of just watching it go wrong, it is one of the best values in golf.

What if an AI could find your swing fault without the help of an instructor? I've got a tournament, and I couldn't get a lesson before it. So, I let Uneekor's AI Trainer look at my swing instead. Now, they did partner with us on this video, but I'm putting it to a real test.

And today, I'm going to show you exactly what it caught, what this thing actually costs, and if it just made golf instructors obsolete.

Quick Overview

How Does Uneekor AI Trainer Work for Regular Golfers?

So, let's break this thing down. What does this actually mean for regular players like you and I? Well, it used to be simple. If you wanted somebody to look at your swing and tell you what was wrong, then you had to book a lesson.

Now, around here in Arizona, that's about $100 to $200 an hour. But Uneekor has actually changed the math on the whole thing.

But, I want to be straight with you guys about the setup because I don't want anyone to get confused. I shot this at Indoor Golf Designs facility on their Uneekor EYE XO. That's an overhead unit, as you can see right here.

Uneekor also sent me this one, the EYE MINI LITE. And that's the one that you can use on the floor; that's much smaller. Today I'm here for the AI. And the AI doesn't care which one of these two it's using.

The Uneekor EYE MINI LITE delivers pro-level launch-monitor data in a compact, fixed indoor design. It connects by Ethernet to a Windows gaming PC and uses constant mains power, so it is built for a dedicated simulator setup rather than portable practice.

Pros:
  • Accurate swing data
  • Compact ground-based setup
  • 12 x 8 inch hitting zone
Cons:
  • Requires Windows gaming PC
  • Wired Ethernet setup
  • No battery or wireless

Either one measures the ball and club directly. It's not estimating it. Because the launch monitor by itself is not the AI. It's these things.

These are the Swing Optix® cameras. Each one is about the size of a 1-inch cube, and it carries 180 frames a second. And they're pointed face-on and down-the-line, not at the ball. So, the launch monitor knows what the ball did, the cameras know what I did, and the AI puts those together and tells you why.

And I know what you're thinking. AI swing apps have been around for a couple of years, and most of them are junk. You film yourself on your phone, it draws a couple lines on you, and you're no wiser than you were before. But this isn't estimating anything.

It's measuring off two real cameras, and it's tying that to the actual ball flight from the same shot. Your phone has no idea the ball went 150 yards, went to the hook on it. But this does, and this is what it's looking at. Eight positions on every single swing.

Address, takeaway, top of the swing, downswing, impact, follow through, finish, and then the quality of the shot itself. And at each one of these, it measures your shoulder rotation, your pelvic rotation, and your spine angle, and puts a real number on all three of them. Purple's your shoulders, red's your pelvis, yellow's your spine. And there's over 60 checkpoints in there.

Uneekor AI Trainer screen showing swing checkpoints and scores across positions

15 checkpoints at address alone, before you even move the club back. Look, guys, I'm not a golf teaching professional. I'm not going to pretend I am, and I'm not going to give you a golf lesson here. But the real reason these numbers matter is that they turn what I felt bad into something you can actually see in real time.

And the next time you swing, it tells you what moved or what didn't. So, you're not guessing anymore. And it's fast enough that it doesn't interrupt you.

How Did Uneekor AI Trainer Find the Fault Costing Me Strokes?

Now, I did this cold on purpose. No warm-up, no range balls, camera rolling on the first swing of the day. Because if I'd hit 50 balls and then switched it on, it'd just tell me what I wanted to hear. First swing, stone cold, 72 out of 100.

Uneekor AI Trainer impact screen scoring the first cold swing 72 out of 100

Now, that's real. I thought I'd hit it fine. That's the thing about a number. You can talk yourself out of a feeling; you can't talk yourself out of a number.

Especially a 72. Was that a C minus? So, I kept hitting. 45 balls across a 7-iron, a 4 hybrid, and a pitching wedge.

At least 15 with each one. And once I've got my session's worth of shots, it does the thing that actually changed how I practice.

Because, here's the problem with checking 60 different things at once. Some of them will always be a bit off. So, you end up with a list of flags and no idea which one is messing you up. That's not a plan; that's just more stuff to worry about.

Now, there's a second layer in here, and it fixes exactly that. AI Report looks back at the shots from the session and identifies which checkpoints align with my bad results. Not which ones are off, which ones are actually costing me strokes. So, AI Report goes from a page of flags down to the one thing.

And that's the only thing I'm working on today.

And here's what changed recently because this is the part that makes it super convenient. Until June 1st, this only worked properly with two clubs, driver and 7-iron, which is a little strange way to practice because nobody plays around with two clubs. But, as of the last update, it covers the driver, all the woods, all the hybrids, all the irons, and the pitching wedge. But the bigger deal is the coaching cue is built for the club now.

A wedge cue is a wedge cue. It's not a driver cue when I hit a wedge, which is the reason why I ran three of mine through it separately. And you did have to tell it what you're holding before you start. You go to sessions, you add a session, you pick the club.

Now, I did it three times, one for each. Takes about 10 seconds. If you skip it, the advice comes back built for the wrong club. And here's what it handed me on the wedge.

Lack of wrist hinge at the top. Lack of shoulder rotation at the top. Casting on the way down, which means I'm throwing the club outwards. And then, at impact, head lifted and head went backward.

AI Trainer pitching wedge session flagging head lifted and head backward at impact

That's one swing. Now, every one of those is pinned to a spot in the swing, not just to the shot.

What Does the Uneekor AI Report Tell You?

So, everything so far happens swing by swing. The next bit is the one I actually cared about. At the end of the session, you generate what they call is an AI Report.

It reads your shot data and your swing video together, and it writes this whole session up. Takes about 10 minutes; you'll need at least 10 shots, but it can take up to 130.

Now, there's one catch straight away. You only get one of these every 12 hours. So, if I hit three clubs that afternoon, I could only run the report on one of them. So, just be sure to plan your session around that because you've got to wait 12 hours.

But, here's the best part. It doesn't read like a spreadsheet. It reads like somebody sat and watched the whole thing and then wrote me a letter. It opens like this.

Paul, you suck. No, I'm just kidding; it didn't say that. It says, "Your 7-iron already has enough speed to score better. That real leak is that the strike is driving too shallow to turn that speed into control."

And here's the thing I did not expect. It doesn't open on what's wrong with you. It opens on what's already working. It gave me four strengths before it gave me a single problem.

Uneekor AI Report summary listing swing strengths before a single problem

My club head speed, 81.8. My ball speed, 109.5. And it told me straight out that speed is the hardest thing to go and get, and I already have it.

So, my path is 0.4 degrees. Basically neutral, and it called that one of the best signs in the session. My launch angle is 16.5, which it said is fine. But then it did something I've never had a piece of software do.

It told me what not to work on. It said, "Don't slow down chasing control because you give the speed away. Don't go doing exaggerated inside-out drills because your path is already good enough." That's a coach telling you to leave something alone. Now, I've paid for lessons that didn't even do that.

And I'll be honest, this is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It put my best swing and my worst swing side by side. The best one scored an 82. The worst one scored a 59.

Same club, same afternoon, same guy, same session. On the good one, it flagged nine checkpoints. On the bad one, it flagged 13. But here's the number that got me.

My backspin was 3270. It told me the target for a 7-iron is 6100. I'm at just over half that with this club. So, it's not doing the job supposed to be.

And that's the whole problem in one figure. My attack angle was -1.6, and it wants -3.7. So, I'm coming in too shallow. I was sweeping instead of compressing it, and I was hitting it 13.2 mm out towards the toe.

You put it all together, and seven of my 13 shots hooked even though my path was neutral. I'd have told you I had a hook problem. It told me I had a contact problem. That looks like a hook.

And it doesn't just say that; it draws it for you as a chain of events. Narrow stance and restricted shoulder turn, which makes me hang back on my trail side, which makes the strike shallow, which kills the spin, which pushes the contact towards the toe, which is actually why I'm hooking it. Five links and everyone causes the next. Then it tells you to ignore the obvious.

My instinct would be to go fight the club face. It says, "No, the face is a symptom, and the problem starts at a setup and in the backswing." That is a generally different answer to the one I had probably given myself. And then there's the plan. It's not a list of faults; it's four priorities and in an order.

Widen the base, improve the shoulder turn, get pressure forward so I hit the ball then the turf. Then work on center contact. And then it hands you four drill videos, one per priority, tells you which order to run them in, not a bunch of links dumped at the bottom and it says do the shoulder turn work because the problem starts before the downswing. No, it doesn't do that.

It gives you the videos. And the best part is it even tells you what better is supposed to feel like. Ball trapped instead of clipped. Divot after the ball, not before it.

Contact moving off the toe. That's something that I can actually use to get better.

How Much Does Uneekor AI Trainer Cost, and Who Is It For?

So, that's what it does. But in the end, why does this even matter? What is it even going to cost? All right, let's make this easy.

Paul's favorite time, math time in my head. So, if you go with the EYE MINI LITE, it's going to run you $1999. And none of what I just showed you runs without two cameras, and the cameras are $1700. So, if you go with the EYE MINI LITE, it's going to run you $1999 plus $1700, which is going to be about $3699.

But, that's only true on this one. You go up to their ceiling mounted units, and the cameras come in the box. It's called the AI Studio bundle, and here's how it works. The EYE XR Studio is $5999.

Uneekor EYE XR AI Studio bundle product page at ,999

The EYE XO Studio is $6499, and the EYE XO2 is $10999. So, each one of these studios includes the Swing Optix® cameras, tripods, and a software bundle that includes a year of AI Trainer. So, the EYE MINI LITE is the cheapest way into the ecosystem, but the bundles are a great way to go when building a full simulator studio. Now, there is the software.

There are four tiers. Player's free, Pro is $199 a year, Champion is $399, and Ultimate is $599. Now, Player's being free is not a trial. It's just free, forever.

And here's exactly what you get. All your ball data, all your club data, so club speed, smash factor, attack angle, club path, the virtual driving range, and 100 session reports.

And here's what you don't get, because this is the part that matters. There's no courses, not one, and no third-party software. So, no GSPro. Free access to a driving range and every number off of it.

That's the whole thing. You can practice on it forever and never pay them a dollar, but you can't play golf on it. So, if you want to play courses, you're going to have to move up to the Pro level at $199 a year. The Pro packages include the third-party software capability, which enables connectivity with GSPro.

You also get five courses in their REFINE software and you go from 100 Power U Reports to 500 Power U Reports.

Now, Champion at $399 adds AI Trainer, 20 REFINE+ courses instead of 5 REFINE courses, and 1,000 Power U Reports. Ultimate, which is Ultimate, is $599 package includes full access to their 4K GAMEDAY golf simulation software, giving you everything you need to reach your full potential.. But, here's the thing, AI Trainer is a $99 add-on on its own. So, you can get the Pro Package and then plus AI Trainer which would be $298 a year.

But, if you get the Champion or the Ultimate, AI Trainer comes with it. So, do the math.

So, in the end, who is this actually perfect for? Well, it's great for golfer who wants to know why the shot went wrong instead of just watching it go wrong and get actual instruction on how to fix it on your own schedule. So, did it make golf instructors obsolete? No, but it's the best assistant coach I've ever used.

It's great for someone training at home and would be the perfect tool for a golf instructor to add to their arsenal. It took me from a 72 on a cold swing to know exactly what to work on in one afternoon at 2:00 without booking anybody when it's 115 degrees outside. And that's why I think this thing is awesome.

How Did the Uneekor Invitational Work?

But, the reason why I'm doing all this now is Uneekor's running their first Invitational and qualifying is open right now. It runs from August 17th through the 24th. So, if you're watching this week it goes up, you still got time. Two rounds at your own pace, brand new courses.

But, here's how you get in because there's no sign up form. You need four things: Uneekor hardware, GSPro on the latest beta, the Pro Package, and an SGT account. Connect those and you're registered automatically. That's it.

But here’s the best part: you don’t have to win your qualifying rounds to move on. Complete both rounds, and you’re automatically into Championship Week.

Everybody moves on. Then you play your division for the money. First in each division will take home a $2,500 gift card. Second takes a $1,250 one, and third $750.

And that's in every division. So, you're racing guys who swing like you and play like you. And if you're watching this after the 24th, this was Uneekor's first Invitational. So, check out the link below to see what they're running now.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Uneekor AI Trainer work without the Swing Optix® cameras?

No. The cameras are what AI Trainer reads, so the software won't function without them. Uneekor state this requirement on their own product page. The cameras are $1,700 and they include the first year of AI Trainer, which means the cheapest complete setup is $3,699 with an EYE MINI LITE

How much does Uneekor AI Trainer cost per year?

It's $99 a year as a standalone add-on, and the first year comes free with the Swing Optix® cameras. It's also included in the Champion tier at $399 per year. But buying Pro at $199 and adding the $99 standalone gets you the same coaching for $298 so the bundle's only worth it if you want the extra courses.

Which clubs does Uneekor AI Trainer support?

As of the June 2026 update: driver, woods 2 through 9, hybrids 1 through 9, irons 1 through 9, and pitching wedge. Gap, sand, and lob aren't supported. Select the correct club in the software before you create the session, because the cues are built per club.

What is the Uneekor AI Report?

It's a written session summary built from your shot data and swing video together. It needs at least 10 shots, accepts up to 130, and takes roughly 10 minutes. It gives you a root cause and an ordered action plan rather than a list of flagged positions. One every 12 hours, and it's in beta.

Is AI Trainer better than a golf lesson?

No, and it isn't trying to be. A coach understands what your swing's trying to do. What AI Trainer does that a coach can't is sit there at 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday and put a number on every single swing you hit. For me it answered the question a lesson would have answered, at a time I couldn't get one.
