Located in South Central Michigan, the Medalist Golf Club is one my friend Dan swears by.

Carved out of 300 acres of natural wooded areas and wetlands, the property is home not just to great golf but deer, turkeys, fox, and sandhill cranes.

The course itself has played host to numerous prestigious tournaments including USGA qualifiers and Michigan State Amateur Championships.

Designed by native Michigander, Bill Newcomb, Medalist Golf Club is all about keeping your ball in play. Numerous doglegs, forced carries, and undulating greens put a premium on accuracy and course management.

I’ve still yet to make it out to play the Medalist but you can bet it’s on my short list.
