Callaway’s all-new family of Paradym drivers has taken the golf world by storm.  As soon as they were released, they found their way into the bags of everyone from the best players in the world to weekend warriors and rank beginners.

Each of the drivers in this family are jam-packed with cutting-edge tech and design features that consistently deliver in every performance aspect.

But there’s one particular driver in the Paradym family that’s specifically designed for elite players with fast swing speeds.  It’s the Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond.

Key Features

  • Neutral-to-fade face progression gives elite players added control.
  • Compact clubhead profile increases playability and workability.
  •  AI-inspired Smart Face optimizes launch conditions and tightens shot dispersion.

Who Should Buy the Callaway AI Smoke Triple Diamond Driver?

If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that this driver isn’t for everybody.  If you’re new to the game, have a slower than average swing speed, or carry mid to high handicap, chances are there’s a driver out there that’s better suited for your game than the Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond.

However, if you’re a low-handicapper with a fast swing speed that’s looking for ultimate control and playability, the AI Smoke Triple Diamond is perfect for you.  Its tech and design features have been carefully engineered to give you everything you’re looking for in those regards.

Design and Technology

As I stated, the AI Smoke Triple Diamond Driver is riddled with advanced tech and design features.

What strikes me most about this driver is its AI-inspired clubface.  Its design took into account more than 250,000 swings, 1,040,000 data points, 50,000 face iterations, and 80,000 lines of code.  Talk about a serious undertaking!

The end result was a Swing Code that consists of swing speed, clubhead delivery, and face orientation just before the club reaches the ball at impact.  Consequently, golfers that play the Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond reap the benefits of perfect launch conditions and narrow shot dispersion.

Next on the list is Smart Face Technology that strategically places 21 micro deflections across the clubface.  Each one acts like a miniature sweet spot that optimizes spin and launch.  So, no matter if you catch the ball on the sweet spot or out toward the clubface perimeter, you’re guaranteed maximum shot performance.

A 360-degree Carbon Chassis that’s 15% lighter than last year’s model facilitates weight distribution throughout the clubhead.  The addition of an internal titanium support increases stability throughout the entire swing.  Working together, these two features optimize launch conditions and MOI.

The shape of the AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver promotes a neutral-to-fade bias that’s ideal for players that want to eliminate the left side of the golf course (for right-handed players).  As the saying goes, you can talk to a fade but a hook won’t listen.

The compact size of the clubhead also gives players added control and makes it easy to vary shot shape as well as trajectory.

If you’re looking to maximize ball speed and minimize spin, just move the 14-gram weight from the back to the front of the clubhead.

As you can see, no stone was left unturned with the Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver.

Specs

The Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver comes in lofts of 8, 9, and 10.5 degrees.  The 8-degree head is only available for right-handed players.

The Triple Diamond measures 45.75’ in length, has a lie angle of 57 degrees, and the clubhead is 450cc.

Stock shaft options include:

  • Project X Denali Black 60 in stiff and extra stiff flex
  • Project X Denali Black 70 in stiff and extra stiff flex
  • MCA Tensei AV Series Blue 55 in stiff flex

Our Experience

I’m the first one to admit that the Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver is simply too much club for my game.  I’m just not good enough to put it in my bag.

However, after testing it out on the driving range, the benefits it offers really good players are more than apparent.  As a right-handed player, I didn’t miss a single drive to the left.  All my shots were in play, with even my mishits only slightly missing the fairway to the right.

I also really like the compact head design.  It was a fresh look that’s a lot different from other drivers that look like a Volkswagen on a stick.  The smaller look gave me a lot of confidence when I stood over the ball.

Like I said, this isn’t the driver for me, but it’s sure to offer really good players plenty of benefits.

PROS

  • Compact head design gives you plenty of control and playability.
  • Neutral-to-fade clubface orientation eliminates misses to the left (for right-handed players).
  • Interchangeable back and forward weight makes it easy to optimize launch and spin conditions.

CONS

  • Club might not be the best choice for mid to high handicappers or beginners.
  • Smaller clubhead profile isn’t as forgiving as other, bigger drivers.
  • Lack of loft adjustability may be a deterrent for some golfers.

Conclusion

Callaway continues to manufacture some of the most premium drivers in golf.  That’s certainly true in 2024 with the introduction of their Paradym line.

For high-level players, the Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver offers advantages most other run-of-the-mill drivers simply don’t.  If you’re an elite player that wants less spin, more control, and increased playability off the tee, give the Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond driver a try.  My guess is that you won’t regret it.
