The 18 Best Golf Shoes of 2026 (I’ve Tested All 18)

The FootJoy HyperFlex is the golf shoe I’d put on almost any golfer, no matter their budget. Here’s who every other shoe on this list is for, what it costs right now, and the one thing that should stop you buying it.

The Short Answer

Buy the FootJoy HyperFlex. It’s $159.95 right now, it’s spiked, it’s waterproof with a 2-year warranty, and it’s the first shoe that made me think comfort and traction don’t have to be a trade-off.

If budget is the priority, the Adidas Tech Response 3.0 is $51.36 on Amazon and over-delivers for the money.

If you want real spikes and real waterproofing for about a hundred bucks, get the Callaway Solana TRX v3 at $109.95.

If traction is everything, it’s the Sqairz Pro S2. And if you’ve got the budget and you walk in the wet, the TRUE Lux2 Maven is hard to beat.

You’re probably wearing the wrong golf shoes. And of all the gear you buy, your shoes might be the one that matters most, because the wrong pair can wreck your round and, over time, your back, your hips and your knees too.

Here’s the thing. The best golf shoe is the one that fits your game, your feet, your wallet and the way you actually play. A guy walking 36 holes a week needs something completely different from a guy riding nine after work. A wet-weather grinder needs different tech than a desert player.

So every shoe here gets an award for the golfer it fits, and every one gets a clear call on who should skip it. All 18 are shoes I’ve had on camera, on my own channel. I start with the cheaper picks, because that’s where most of you are shopping, and I finish with the shoes you buy when you’ve decided to spend real money.

Here’s my 2026 video if you’d rather watch than read:

Best Overall: FootJoy HyperFlex ($159.95)

This is the shoe for the most golfers on this list, and right now it costs well under its $190 list price.

Most golfers spend 18 holes choosing between comfort and traction. And the HyperFlex is the first shoe I’ve tested that made me think that trade-off might not be real.

The upper is FootJoy’s ControlKNIT, a spiral-wound engineered knit. So it breathes like a knit shoe but holds its shape like a structured athletic shoe, and you’re not giving up support for comfort. The TruFIT system locks your heel in, the StratoFOAM midsole is tuned for golf instead of borrowed from a running shoe, and the OptiFlex outsole bends naturally with your foot. That matters more than you’d think after four hours on your feet.

Underneath, there’s a PowerPlate for energy transfer and replaceable Pulsar LP cleats. FootJoy backs the whole thing with a 2-year waterproof warranty, and it comes in Medium and Wide, sizes 7 to 15.

Now, the price. FootJoy now sells this one as a previous-season style, and both FootJoy and Amazon had it at $159.95 when I checked. That’s a lot of shoe for the money. My full FootJoy HyperFlex review goes deeper, and if you’re wondering what’s on tour, here’s what golf shoes the pros wear.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk, ride, or play to a low handicap and want one shoe that does everything well.
  • Skip it if you want a casual lifestyle look. This one leans athletic and aggressive.
FootJoy HyperFlex

Don't overpay for your next round. Check out the lowest prices, real user fit reviews, and exclusive deals on the high-performance FootJoy Hyperflex golf shoes today.

Pros:
  • Breathes like a knit, holds its shape
  • Replaceable Pulsar LP cleats
  • 2-year waterproof warranty
Cons:
  • Leans athletic, not a casual look
  • Previous-season style at this price

Best Budget Golf Shoe: Adidas Tech Response 3.0 ($51.36)

This one completely over-delivers for what it costs.

It lists at $70, and Amazon had it at $51.36 when I checked. Usually budget golf shoes feel cheap the second you lace them up. They’re stiff, they’re flat, and they take a week to stop hurting. This one feels broken in almost immediately. The Bounce midsole cushions well, and the slow-resilient padding around the collar and tongue does its job from day one.

It’s spikeless, so you can walk straight from the course to dinner without changing. Adidas has refined this platform for years, so you’re not taking a chance on something untested. And Amazon lists a Wide version of every size from 7 to 15.

Sometimes you’ll see these under 50 bucks. At that price it’s a no-brainer, even as a backup pair. My Adidas Tech Response 3.0 review has the full breakdown.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you’re a new golfer or a walker who wants a solid shoe without spending 200 bucks.
  • Skip it if you regularly play in heavy rain. Water resistance is the weakest spot, and it isn’t a waterproof shoe.
Adidas Tech Response 3.0

Engineered with a low-profile silhouette, the Tech Response 3.0 delivers exceptional kinetic stability. The integrated Bounce midsole maximizes energy return, ensuring dynamic mid-swing balance and all-day, fatigue-free comfort.

Pros:
  • Feels broken in on day one
  • Bounce midsole cushioning
  • Spikeless, course to dinner
Cons:
  • Not waterproof, so skip heavy rain

Best Value Golf Shoe: Callaway Solana TRX v3 ($109.95)

The Callaway Solana TRX v3 is for the golfer who wants real spikes and real waterproofing without paying premium money.

Callaway Solana TRX v3 golf shoes, three-quarter angle showing the perforated toe panel and side chevron logo.

Value doesn’t mean cheap. It means you get more shoe than you’re paying for. The problem is that most shoes at this price start to cut corners somewhere. The waterproofing fails early, the traction wears down, or the cushioning goes flat after a season.

Callaway’s answer is a microfiber leather upper with Opti-Dri waterproof protection and a 2-year limited waterproof warranty. The 5-spike Dura-Rubber outsole runs FastTwist 3.0 removable Pulsar cleats, so you swap spikes when they wear instead of retiring the shoe. The Forged DX midsole gives you a natural ground feel, there’s a 5mm PLUSfoam insole, and an Opti-Vent mesh liner manages heat so your feet aren’t cooking in July.

It’s $109.95 at Callaway and on Amazon. More in my Callaway Solana TRX v3 review.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you want spike performance and dry feet on a budget.
  • Skip it if you’re after premium leather or the latest tech. You’ll need to spend more for that.
Callaway Solana TRX v3

Engineered for walkers. The Forged DX EVA midsole and 5mm PLUSfoam insole absorb repetitive impact effortlessly. It yields a hyper-lightweight footprint that mitigates 18-hole foot fatigue without sacrificing torque.

Pros:
  • Five removable Pulsar cleats
  • 2-year limited waterproof warranty
  • Mesh liner keeps feet cool
Cons:
  • Microfiber, not premium leather
  • Not the latest tech

Best Golf Shoe Under $50: Puma Fusion Crush Sport ($49.99)

If you want to go even further down on price without giving up comfort, the Puma Fusion Crush Sport is $49.99 on Amazon, and Puma has the Wide version at $49.99, down from $100.

Pair of Puma Fusion Crush Sport golf shoes, one leaning against the other, showing the knit upper and neon lace pulls.

Most options at this price feel like a complete compromise from the second you put them on. This one has an EVERSTRETCH bootie that wraps your foot like a sock, so there’s no break-in and no half-round adjustment period where you’re just waiting for your feet to stop hurting.

FUSIONFOAM, Puma’s mix of soft EVA and responsive rubber, handles the cushioning. And the breathable mesh upper keeps things cool on warm days, when most golf shoes turn into an oven by about the fifth hole.

But here’s the trade-off, and it’s durability and wet weather. This isn’t a premium shoe, and it’s not built for wet conditions. If you know that going in, it’s hard to argue with the value. My Puma Fusion Crush Sport review has more.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you’re a casual golfer or a beginner, or you want a no-fuss pair cheap enough to rotate.
  • Skip it if you play in wet conditions or need maximum stability.
Puma Fusion Crush Sport

Step into ultimate comfort with the Puma Fusion Crush Sport Golf Shoes. Built with dual-foam cushioning, these athletic golf shoes deliver all-day support from the first tee to the clubhouse. Enjoy breathable mesh upper construction and solid grip. (247 chars)

Pros:
  • Sock-like bootie, no break-in
  • FUSIONFOAM cushioning
  • Breathable mesh upper
Cons:
  • Not built for wet conditions
  • Not for maximum stability

Best Budget Waterproof Golf Shoe: Puma Proadapt Alphacat ($63.99)

The Proadapt Alphacat is what it looks like when a premium shoe meets a price you can actually afford. It launched at $160, and Amazon had it at $63.99 when I checked.

Puma’s PROADAPT outsole is basically a rethink of golf cleats. Instead of standard plastic spikes, it mixes different lug shapes in a multi-material outsole, so it grabs the ground and spreads your weight better across your foot. It’s like having wider tires on your car.

Up top, the engineered mesh has some backbone to it, and Puma’s EXO SHELL handles the waterproofing, backed by a 1-year waterproof warranty. There’s a bootie construction for 360-degree support and a molded EVA insole.

Now, it’s far from perfect. The aggressive tread can grab a bit too much if you’ve got a little foot slide in your swing. And this is closeout stock, so Amazon only had sizes 8 to 9.5 when I looked. Outside that range, Puma’s own site sells the newer Proadapt Alphacat 2.0 at $99, down from $160, with the same 1-year waterproof warranty. My Puma Proadapt Alphacat review covers it in more detail.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you want waterproof spikeless for well under $100 and your size is still there.
  • Skip it if you’ve got a foot slide in your swing or you need a full size run.
Puma Proadapt Alphacat

Experience top-tier golf performance with Puma Proadapt Alphacat Shoes, blending advanced comfort, superior grip, and sleek style for serious players.

Pros:
  • EXO SHELL waterproofing, 1-year warranty
  • Multi-material PROADAPT outsole
  • Launched at $160, closeout money now
Cons:
  • Tread can grab if your foot slides
  • Closeout stock, limited sizes

Best Golf Slide: TRUE Linkswear Vacay Slide ($69)

Not every great golf shoe has to be something you actually golf in. The TRUE Vacay Slide is $69, and it’s for the best part of the round, which is after it’s over.

This isn’t some flimsy foam sandal you grab at a gas station. It’s a recovery slide built to give your feet a break after 18 holes. The footbed is TRUE’s Wanderlux Recovery Foam, plush and supportive. The strap is TRUE’s soft alternative nubuck, so it holds your foot in place without rubbing or pinching. There’s a wide toe box, it’s antimicrobial, and TRUE lists it at 10 oz.

TRUE is one of my favorite golf brands, and this is the one you toss in your trunk or your locker so you can slip out of your spikes and immediately chill out. And for 69 bucks, it’s a pretty easy call.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk a lot or you just appreciate good foot recovery.
  • Skip it if you want something to play in. This is for after the round, not during it.
TRUE Linkswear Vacay Slide

Experience ultimate comfort with the TRUE Linkswear Vacay Slide, featuring thick Wanderlux® Superfoam cushioning, a wide toe box, and a water-resistant nubuck suede strap.

Pros:
  • Wanderlux Recovery Foam footbed
  • Soft alternative nubuck strap
  • Wide toe box
Cons:
  • Not built to play golf in

Best Casual Golf Shoe: Nike Air Jordan 1 Low G ($119.98)

The Air Jordan 1 Low G is for the player who wants to go from tee time to hang time without changing shoes or giving up his style.

PGA TOUR Superstore had the spikeless version at $119.98 when I checked, and Nike had it at $124.97. It looks exactly like what it is, a retro basketball icon made for the golf course, which to me is totally awesome.

You get genuine leather, an encapsulated Air unit in the heel, and an integrated traction pattern with a pivot circle under the forefoot. The fit is snug and supportive, more athletic than a traditional golf shoe. Nike puts a 1-year waterproof warranty on it, and there are two sets of laces in the box.

And while it doesn’t have the performance chops of a tour-level shoe, it’s definitely a legitimate golf shoe. If you’re a sneakerhead, or you just want to bring some edge to your golf wardrobe, this is the one.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you want one pair for the round, the drive home and dinner.
  • Skip it if you want tour-level traction and support under your feet.
Nike Air Jordan 1 Low G
$119.98

Experience luxury and performance with the Nike Air Jordan Low 1 G Golf Shoes, where iconic style meets premium golf innovation.

Pros:
  • Genuine leather Jordan 1 look
  • Encapsulated Air in the heel
  • 1-year waterproof warranty
Cons:
  • Not tour-level traction or support
  • Molded traction, no replaceable spikes

Best Lightweight Golf Shoe: TRUE Linkswear All Day Knit Four ($149)

If you’re the type of golfer who just hates bulky golf shoes, the TRUE All Day Knit Four goes the other way. It’s $149.

TRUE All Day Knit Four golf shoes on a table, angled from the front, with the TRUE wordmark on the side panel.

Most lightweight shoes make you choose between comfort or stability, not both. At around 9 oz, the All Day Knit Four is the first one I’ve tested that doesn’t ask you to pick.

The four-way stretch knit upper wraps your foot like a glove, and the comfort foam heel lock keeps you anchored mid-swing, so nothing shifts when it actually matters. The Cross Life tread works on and off the course, TRUE Linkswear builds it with recycled materials, and the whole thing is machine washable. If you travel, you already know how much that matters.

My TRUE All Day Knit Four review has the rest.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you’re a walker, a traveler or a hot-weather player who wants a single shoe that does it all.
  • Skip it if you play in wet conditions or want maximum structure through your swing. It’s not waterproof.
TRUE Linkswear All Day Knit Four

Step into unmatched comfort with TRUE Linkswear All Day Knit Four golf shoes, the pinnacle of breathable, versatile footwear blending sock-like fit, 4-way stretch knit, and PGA-proven All Day traction for seamless on-course grip and off-course style.

Pros:
  • 9 oz
  • Machine washable
  • Stretch knit with a foam heel lock
Cons:
  • Not waterproof
  • Less structure for big swings

Best Golf Sneaker: Pluto Golf P1 ($159)

There’s a growing group of golfers who don’t want to look like a golfer at all, and the Pluto P1 is built for them. It’s $159 direct from Pluto.

A pair of white and green Pluto P1 golf shoes, side view

Most golf shoes trying to look like a sneaker get it wrong. Either the performance is an afterthought, or the silhouette gives it away the second you put them on. The P1 is one of the few streetwear-inspired shoes doing it right.

Pluto builds it as a spikeless golf sneaker in soft leather, and it looks the part completely. One thing before you order: Pluto tells you to size up half a size for a roomier fit. Listen to them. My Pluto P1 review has more on the fit.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you’re style-conscious or a sneakerhead and want to look like yourself on the course.
  • Skip it if you play in wet conditions regularly or want something more traditional.
Pluto Golf P1
$159.00

The Pluto Golf P1 redefines golf footwear by merging sleek sneaker aesthetics with comfort and reliable performance. Designed for golfers who embrace style without compromising on cushioning and stability, these spikeless shoes shine on dry fairways and beyond.

Pros:
  • Real sneaker look
  • Spikeless, soft leather upper
Cons:
  • Not for regular wet rounds
  • Size up half a size

Best Golf Shoe for Walkers: Payntr Sport Classic LE ($160)

If you’re a serious walker, cushioning alone isn’t enough. The Payntr Sport Classic LE is built around actually walking a course, and it’s $160.

Pair of white and gray Payntr Sport Classic LE golf shoes on a white surface, front angled view showing the laces and toe box.

The ORTHOLITE footbed compresses less than 5%, so hole 18 feels like hole one. The PMXNITROGEN+ midsole adds energy return underfoot, and the PMXSpeedPLT propulsion plate gives you something to drive against through the swing without losing your footing.

The upper is full-grain leather with a WATERPROOF+ breathable membrane fused to the lining and sealed with a bottom gasket. So water can’t sneak in from underneath the way it does on a lot of waterproof shoes. The TPU outsole delivers traction in three dimensions, and it’s spikeless.

It only comes in Medium, sizes 8 to 13, so wide feet should look elsewhere. My Payntr Sport Classic LE review goes deeper.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk most rounds or you play regularly in wet conditions.
  • Skip it if you ride in a cart every time or you’re chasing something ultra-light. It’s probably more shoe than you need.
Payntr Sport Classic LE

A walking-focused spikeless shoe with a full-grain leather upper, a sealed WATERPROOF+ membrane and an ORTHOLITE footbed. It comes in Medium only, in sizes 8 to 13.

Pros:
  • ORTHOLITE footbed compresses less than 5%
  • Sealed WATERPROOF+ membrane
  • Full-grain leather upper
Cons:
  • Medium width only
  • More shoe than a cart rider needs

Best Spiked Golf Shoe for Serious Players: Payntr Reserve Classic Tour RS ($179.99)

If you load hard into the ground and need maximum grip when it matters most, spikeless isn’t going to cut it. The Payntr Reserve Classic Tour RS is $180 at Payntr and $179.99 at Worldwide Golf.

A pair of white Payntr Reserve Classic Tour golf shoes shown in side profile

If your feet are moving at impact, you’re probably losing power and accuracy on every swing. This shoe is for the player who needs his feet planted. The TPU outsole uses a Fast Twist insert system, so you can swap spikes easily, and the PMXSpeedPLT propulsion plate helps you push off at impact without losing stability.

The upper is lightweight CLARINO Trivela microfiber, with Payntr’s sealed WATERPROOF+ membrane. The ARIAPRENE tongue locks your foot down for when you’re swinging hard, and a dual-density PMXFOAM midsole and PMXNITROGEN+ footbed handle the cushioning. Unlike the Sport Classic LE, there’s a Wide option.

More in my Payntr Reserve Classic Tour RS review.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you’re a low handicapper, a competitive player, or anyone who swings hard.
  • Skip it if you’re a casual rider or you just want a lifestyle shoe.
Payntr Reserve Classic Tour RS

A spiked shoe with a lightweight CLARINO Trivela microfiber upper, a sealed WATERPROOF+ membrane and a Fast Twist spike system for easy swaps. It comes in Medium and Wide.

Pros:

Cons:
  • Overkill for casual riders
  • Not a lifestyle shoe

Best Golf Shoe to Wear Off the Course: ECCO Golf S-Casual ($179.99)

Unfortunately, most golf shoes look like golf shoes. The second you walk into a restaurant or an airport, you’re the guy wearing golf shoes. The ECCO Golf S-Casual kind of fixes that, and it’s $179.99 at Worldwide Golf.

Pair of white and navy ECCO S-Casual golf shoes shown from a three-quarter front angle showing both shoes clearly.

It looks like a premium leather sneaker, and it’s built from breathable ECCO leather with perforations on the side piece. But the E-DTS outsole runs roughly 100 TPU traction bars across 800 traction angles, so you’re getting real grip on the course without anything on the sole that looks out of place.

An ECCO-TEX waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry without the shoe giving itself away. FLUIDFORM handles the cushioning, and the washable OrthoLite insole pulls out if you need extra width. My ECCO Golf S-Casual review has the details.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you want one shoe that works on the course, at dinner and through the airport.
  • Skip it if you want a pure performance spiked shoe.
ECCO Golf S-Casual

Experience versatile performance with Ecco Golf S-Casual shoes. Featuring breathable Yak leather and E-DTS™ traction, these water-resistant hybrids offer style on and off the green.

Best Performing Golf Shoe: Sqairz Pro S2 ($199)

There’s one shoe on this list that’s been built around a completely different idea. And for certain golfers, it’s changing everything about the way they swing. That’s the Sqairz Pro S2, at $199.

Front three-quarter view of a pair of Sqairz Pro S2 white golf shoes standing close together on a table.

Most golf shoes are designed around a standard toe box. The problem is, your toes aren’t spread, your base is narrower than it should be, and on anything other than a flat lie you’re going to feel it. The Pro S2 fixes that with a square toe box that lets your toes spread naturally, so you get a more stable base.

Sqairz puts six replaceable Softspikes under triangulated pressure zones and backs them with 290-plus traction lugs. So whether you’re on a tee box, a sidehill lie or slick grass, you’re locked in. The Blumaka footbed is rated at 14% higher energy return than a standard insole.

The upper is waterproof, grain-textured microfiber with classic styling. It comes in Standard and Wide, and Sqairz backs it with a 2-year waterproofing guarantee plus a 30-day play-better-or-your-money-back guarantee. My Sqairz Pro S2 review goes further.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you want maximum stability and ground connection without giving up country-club looks.
  • Skip it if you like a snug, narrow fit. The wide toe box is the whole point of this shoe.
Sqairz Pro S2

Most premium golf shoes require multiple painful rounds to mold to your feet. The Sqairz Pro S2 offers immediate step-in comfort out of the box, thanks to its plush collar lining, breathable textured tongue, and dual-density foam core.

Pros:
  • Square toe box for a wider base
  • Six Softspikes plus 290+ lugs
  • 2-year waterproofing guarantee
Cons:
  • Not for a snug, narrow fit
  • Spiked, so less of an everyday shoe

Best Cushioned Golf Shoe: TRUE Linkswear Antigravity ($199)

If it’s pure cushioning you’re after, the kind that keeps your legs fresh deep into the round, the TRUE Antigravity is the one to look at. It’s $199.

TRUE Antigravity golf shoes seen from the side.

Cushioning is tricky in golf shoes. Too little and walking 18 holes is miserable. Too much and you lose ground feel and start to feel like you’re swinging on a mattress. The Antigravity gets the balance right by borrowing tech from elite running shoes.

The midsole is Pebax Superfoam, and there’s a full-length nylon speedboard underneath for smoother energy transfer. The upper is a ripstop shell with laminated waterproof construction, a 1-year waterproof warranty and a TPU mudguard. TRUE lists it at 10.5 oz with a 4mm heel drop, and TRUE built the tread for wearing off the course too.

My TRUE Antigravity review has more.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk 18 to 36 holes, or you’re a runner who switched to golf and wants that same cushioned feel.
  • Skip it if you want a traditional leather look or prefer minimal foam underfoot.
TRUE Linkswear Antigravity

Experience weightless comfort on the course. The TRUE Anti Gravity Golf Shoes in Sunset offer elite traction, breathable materials, and a vibrant design for maximum performance and style.

Pros:
  • Pebax Superfoam cushioning
  • Laminated waterproof, 1-year warranty
  • 10.5 oz with a 4mm drop
Cons:
  • Not a traditional leather look
  • Too much foam if you like ground feel

Best All-Weather Golf Shoe: TRUE Linkswear Ascent PNWPROOF ($199)

What about the golfer who plays in real bad weather? Not a slight drizzle, but real conditions. The TRUE Ascent PNWPROOF was built for that, and it’s $199.

TRUE Ascent PNWPROOF golf shoes from a front angle, showing the TRUE wordmark, PNWPROOF tab and sole logo.

Most golf shoes are waterproof until they’re not. A bit of standing water, a downpour on the back nine, and you’re playing the last few holes in completely wet socks.

The Ascent’s upper is a waterproof laminate with a 1-year waterproof guarantee, and the trail-inspired traction means it works beyond the course too. The Wanderlux supercritical foam is soft and responsive without that cheap, mushy feel, there’s a hydro-textured heel guard, and the comfort collar gives you a broken-in feel from day one. TRUE Linkswear lists it at 12.2 oz with a 6mm drop, and you can get it in Natural, Wide and Extra Wide toe boxes.

My TRUE Ascent PNWPROOF review goes deeper.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you play through anything, or you want one shoe for the course and the trail.
  • Skip it if you play in a warm, dry climate or want a more traditional golf-shoe look.
TRUE Linkswear Ascent PNWPROOF

Engineered for the relentless walking golfer, this model fuses a laminated waterproof upper with trail-inspired spikeless traction. At just 12.2 oz, it offers elite all-weather protection without the structural rigidity of traditional footwear.

  • Wanderlux supercritical foam
  • Natural, Wide and Extra Wide toe boxes
Cons:
  • Overkill in a warm, dry climate
  • Not a traditional golf-shoe look

Most Comfortable Spikeless Golf Shoe: ECCO Biom C5 ($256.45)

If comfort is the whole reason you’re shopping, the ECCO Biom C5 is the spikeless shoe I’d look at first. The BOA version was $256.45 on Amazon when I checked.

Pair of white and blue Ecco Biom C5 golf shoes, angled side view on a wood-toned table.

ECCO builds the upper from its own Performance Leather, made in its own tanneries, with a super-stretchy knitted sock. GORE-TEX SURROUND gives you 100% waterproof protection with 360-degree breathability, and that combination is pretty rare in a spikeless shoe. The BIOM C5 outsole is built for multi-directional traction in wet, dry, sand and mud.

The insole is removable and washable, and you can take it out for extra width. The BOA dial lets you micro-adjust the fit instead of fighting laces.

Now, it’s the most expensive spikeless shoe here, so it’s the specialist pick. My ECCO Biom C5 review has the full story.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk in variable weather and want premium comfort without giving up performance.
  • Skip it if you want spiked traction or need to keep the price down.
ECCO Biom C5

  • Insole comes out for width
Cons:
  • Priciest spikeless shoe here
  • No spikes for soft turf

Best Looking Golf Shoe: Duca Del Cosma Bernardo ($289)

If you want a shoe that turns heads for craftsmanship rather than streetwear, the Duca Del Cosma Bernardo is in a completely different league. It’s $289.

Duca Del Cosma Bernardo golf shoes with wingtip brogue perforations and red interior lining, one shoe leaning on the other.

The upper is full-grain Italian Nappa leather, handmade in Europe, and it breaks in beautifully without losing its shape. But it’s not just fashion. The Airplay 6 spike outsole runs Softspikes PULSAR cleats, so the grip is serious.

There’s an ARNEFLEX memory foam insock, an OnSteam breathable lining, and a waterproof bootie with a gusseted tongue. You get two sets of laces and a cotton dust bag in the box. Duca only had a few sizes of the white pair in stock when I checked, so look before you fall in love. My Duca Del Cosma Bernardo review has more.

Best Premium Golf Shoe: TRUE Linkswear Lux2 Maven ($325)

At this end of the market, most premium shoes charge premium prices for looks. The TRUE Lux2 Maven charges for performance and then delivers on both. It’s $325.

A pair of white and neon green golf shoes on a white table with a patterned wall art background.

TRUE Linkswear engineered it with its Tour Ambassadors, and the upper is supple top-grain Napa leather. Underfoot there’s a flexible, full-length carbon-fiber ground force reaction plate that gives you a stable platform through your swing while still flexing when you walk. That’s the one detail that sets it apart at this price. The Wanderlux superfoam midsole handles cushioning, and the Breezeway heel lock keeps you anchored so nothing shifts mid-swing.

It’s spiked on TRUE’s FlexBolt outsole, it’s built on a waterproof bootie, and TRUE backs it with a 3-year waterproof warranty, with year three as a 25% replacement credit. That’s a long time. It’s also 18 oz, so it’s not a featherweight.

There’s more in my TRUE Lux2 Maven review.

Who it’s for:

  • Buy it if you walk, want tour-level performance, and play a lot in wet conditions.
  • Skip it if you’re on a budget or you want something ultra-light.

How I Picked

Every one of the 18 main picks has been on my channel. Fifteen of them are in my 2026 video at the top of this page, and we actually have them in hand. It’s not a slideshow.

The other three, the Jordan 1 Low G, the Vacay Slide and the Proadapt Alphacat, are from my 2025 list. Here’s that video if you want to see them:

A few shoes from that 2025 list didn’t come back this year, because the same brand already has a pick on this list, or the shoe is down to clearance stock. The three in Also Worth a Look aren’t in either video, so they get facts only.

I judged every shoe on one question: does it fit the way a specific golfer actually plays? So I looked at traction, spiked or spikeless, the waterproof warranty, width and toe box, weight, and what you pay.

I checked every price on a live US brand or retailer page on October 20, 2026. Golf shoes move on and off sale constantly, so check the number on the page before you buy.

What to Look For in Golf Shoes

Spiked or spikeless. Start here, because it decides how much grip you get when the ground is soft. Spikes like the Solana’s FastTwist cleats come out and get replaced. A spikeless shoe is nicer to walk in off the course, but its grip wears with the sole.

The waterproof warranty. Look at how long the brand stands behind it. The Lux2 Maven gets 3 years, the HyperFlex, Solana and Pro S2 get 2, and the Antigravity, Ascent, Alphacat and Air Jordan get 1. The Knit Four and the Tech Response aren’t waterproof shoes at all.

Width and toe box. Sqairz builds the whole shoe around a square toe box. TRUE offers three toe-box widths on several models, and FootJoy, Payntr’s Reserve RS and the Pro S2 come in Wide. The ECCO insoles pull out for extra room.

Weight. If your feet are what ends your round, go light. The Knit Four is 9 oz, the Antigravity is 10.5 oz, and the Lux2 Maven is 18 oz.

Your budget. You don’t need to spend three hundred bucks to get a good golf shoe. The Tech Response, the Fusion Crush Sport and the Solana are all real golf shoes for about a hundred bucks or less.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best golf shoes for most golfers?

The FootJoy HyperFlex. It’s spiked, it has a knit upper that breathes but holds its shape, the waterproofing is covered for 2 years, and it was $159.95 when I checked. It does everything well and nothing badly.

What are the best golf shoes under $100?

The Tech Response 3.0 at $51.36 on Amazon, if you play in dry weather. The Puma Fusion Crush Sport costs $49.99 and feels like a sock from the first round. If you need waterproofing, the Puma Proadapt Alphacat was $63.99 with a 1-year waterproof warranty, as long as your size is in stock.

Are spikeless golf shoes as good as spiked?

On dry and firm ground, a good spikeless shoe is close enough that you won’t notice. On soft, wet turf, or if you swing hard, spikes still win, which is why the Payntr Reserve RS and the Sqairz Pro S2 run replaceable cleats. Spikeless shoes win off the course.

What are the best waterproof golf shoes?

For the longest coverage, the TRUE Lux2 Maven has a 3-year waterproof warranty. For the money, the Solana TRX v3 from Callaway is $109.95, and Callaway covers the waterproofing for 2 years. And if you play in real rain, look at the TRUE Ascent PNWPROOF.

What golf shoes are best for wide feet?

The Sqairz Pro S2 is built around a square toe box and comes in Wide. The TRUE Ascent PNWPROOF and Lux2 Maven both have an Extra Wide toe-box option, and the FootJoy HyperFlex and Payntr Reserve RS come in Wide. On the ECCO shoes, you can pull the insole out for extra room.

Final Thoughts: Best Golf Shoes of 2026

If you want one shoe that does everything well, it’s the FootJoy HyperFlex. Traction is everything? Sqairz Pro S2. On a tight budget, it’s the Adidas Tech Response.

Walk a lot? Get the Payntr Sport Classic LE, or the TRUE Antigravity if cushioning is your priority. If you want something that works off the course too, look at the ECCO S-Casual, or the Pluto P1 if you want the sneaker look.
