The 2024 Callaway Solaire is a complete women's set with nine clubs, four headcovers, and a real cart bag. It's a nice package, but at $899.98 when I checked on October 11, 2026, it's not cheap, so here's exactly who should buy it and who should keep that money.

Is the Callaway Solaire Golf Clubs Set worth buying?

So here's the deal with the Solaire. The 2024 Solaire set sold at $899.98 at Golf Galaxy and DICK'S on October 11, 2026, down from a $999.99 list price. That's not a clearance price. That's real money.

And for that money you get a driver, a fairway wood, a hybrid, the 7, 8, and 9 irons, a pitching wedge, a sand wedge, and a mallet putter. Add the headcovers and the bag and you're at 14 pieces. That's a full set you can take straight to the course. I'll walk you through what's in the box, what it's built to do, how the price compares with the other women's sets, and what to check before you buy one.

Quick Overview

  • 9 clubs: driver, fairway wood, hybrid, 7 through 9 irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge, and a mallet putter.
  • 14 pieces total: the nine clubs plus four headcovers and a bag, even though some listings call it a 10-piece set.
  • Built to launch: a 13.5-degree driver, lightweight graphite shafts, and a bigger-faced fairway wood and hybrid.
  • $899.98 on October 11, 2026: the 2024 Solaire at two big US retailers, with a $999.99 list price.
  • Right-handed, ladies flex: that's the configuration I could verify for this 2024 set.

This video isn't a Solaire review. It's my round with Callaway's budget Strata set, so you can see what a Callaway starter set plays like.

You Get 9 Clubs, 4 Headcovers, and a Real Cart Bag

The Solaire is 14 pieces, and nine of them are golf clubs. Know that before you compare it with anything else.

This is where a lot of people get confused. Golf Galaxy's own page calls it a "10-Piece Complete Set," but read the component list and you'll count nine clubs, the bag, and covers for four of them. That's 14 pieces. So don't let the title trick you into thinking you're getting ten clubs.

Now, the nine clubs are the right nine for a new golfer. You get three clubs to hit off the tee and from the fairway: the driver, the fairway wood, and the hybrid. Then your short irons, 7 through 9, and two wedges, a pitching wedge and a sand wedge. A lot of cheaper sets give you one wedge and call it good. Having a real sand wedge means you actually have a club built for the bunker.

And you've got room to grow. Nine clubs leaves five open spots under the 14-club limit, so you can add a club later without breaking the rules. If you want to know how that limit works, my guide on how many clubs you can carry breaks it down.

The bag is a big part of what you're paying for. It has a 10-way divider top with full-length dividers, so every club gets its own slot and your grips don't tangle. It has a cart-compatible base, an umbrella holder, and a padded single strap. So if you ride a cart most of the time, this bag was made for how you play. If you mostly walk and carry, a single-strap cart bag isn't ideal, and this set doesn't come with a stand bag.

The 13.5-Degree Driver and Light Graphite Shafts Are Built to Get the Ball Up

Everything in the Solaire is built to help you get the ball in the air. That's the whole design.

Start with the driver. It's 13.5 degrees. That's a lot of loft, and that's on purpose. More loft helps a slower swing launch the ball higher, and the driver pairs that with a thin face and weight pushed to the back of the head. For a new golfer, a driver you can get airborne beats a low-loft driver you can't.

The fairway wood and hybrid follow the same idea. Both have slightly larger faces and are built for a higher launch. And the hybrid is the club I'd tell any beginner to love. It's way easier to hit than a long iron, and this set doesn't have any long irons. The irons start at 7.

The whole set uses lightweight graphite shafts. For a lot of women with a smooth, slower swing, lighter is easier to swing and easier to square up. The irons are built with perimeter weighting and a high launch in mind, which means they're meant to be forgiving when you don't catch it right in the middle.

But here's the thing. "Women's" on the label doesn't mean it's fitted to you. If you're taller than average, stronger than average, or you already swing it pretty hard, a ladies flex and women's standard length might not be right. Callaway doesn't publish the shaft weights or the iron lofts for this set, so if you're not sure, have a club shop check your flex and length before you buy.

Here's How the Solaire Stacks Up Against Other Women's Sets

At $899.98 on October 11, 2026, the 2024 Solaire sits in the middle of the women's set market. It's not the cheap option, and it's not the premium one.

Here's where it lands against the sets I'd actually cross-shop. Prices were checked October 11, 2026.

Wilson Profile (women's) Cleveland Bloom 10-piece Callaway Solaire 2024 Callaway REVA 11-piece TaylorMade Kalea Gold
Price About $599.99 $899.99 $899.98 $1,499.99 $1,899.99

So here's how I'd think about it. If you're not sure golf is going to stick, the Wilson Profile is the move. On October 11, 2026, the Wilson Profile was $599.99 and the 2024 Solaire was $899.98. That difference is money you can put toward lessons, shoes, or a fitting. My Wilson Profile golf clubs set review goes through it.

If you want a current set, the Cleveland Bloom has the same basic club makeup, but it isn't the cheaper option anymore. On October 11, 2026, the Bloom was $899.99 direct from Cleveland's parent, Dunlop Sports, a penny more than the 2024 Solaire.

If you want the newest Callaway women's set, that's the REVA, and it costs a lot more. On October 11, 2026, the REVA 11-piece was $1,499.99. Callaway doesn't call REVA the Solaire replacement, but it's the closest thing in the current lineup.

So the Solaire makes sense when you want this exact package, you like the look, and the price is right. It doesn't make sense just because it has the Callaway name on it.

Here's How I'd Buy a Callaway Solaire Set

If I were buying a Solaire set, this is exactly what I'd check.

  1. Make sure it says 2024. Solaire is a name Callaway has used on different sets for years, and an older Solaire is a different set.
  2. Count the clubs. Nine clubs, four headcovers, one bag. Don't trust the piece count in the title.
  3. Check the hand and flex. Every listing I confirmed for the 2024 set came up right hand, ladies flex, women's standard length. I couldn't find a left-handed version of this exact set.
  4. Check the color. The 2024 set comes in two colors, Black and Light Blue, and Golf Galaxy sells them as separate options. If the look matters to you, make sure you're getting the one you want.
  5. Read the return and warranty terms. Callaway's two-year warranty covers eligible purchases from Callaway or an authorized retailer. If you're buying leftover stock or from a marketplace seller, find out what you're covered for.
  6. Inspect an open-box set. Look at the club faces, the ferrules, the grips, and the bag before you treat it as new.

Now, the price. Callaway doesn't list the Solaire in its current women's sets anymore, and Callaway Pre-Owned was out of stock when I checked on October 11, 2026. So what's left is retailer stock and marketplace sellers. A marketplace listing showed a new 2024 Solaire for $629.99 that same day, which is a lot less than $899.98. But seller protection on a marketplace is a different story, so only go that way if the seller has real return terms.

What I Don't Love

The price is the big one. At $899.98 on October 11, 2026, the 2024 Solaire costs more than the Wilson Profile, about the same as the current Cleveland Bloom, and it isn't a current Callaway set anymore.

That also means you can't count on it being around. Callaway doesn't list it in its current women's lineup, and what's out there is leftover stock. If it sells out, you're looking at REVA money or a different brand.

And the fit options are thin. One hand, one flex, one length is all I could pin down. If you're a lefty, petite, tall, or you swing faster than most, this probably isn't your set, and the shaft weights and lofts that would settle it aren't published anywhere I could find.

Who It's For

Buy it if:

  • You're a right-handed woman who's new to golf or coming back to it.
  • You want a full set with a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, two wedges, and a putter in one box.
  • You ride a cart most of the time and want a full-length divider cart bag.
  • You like the 2024 Solaire look and the price lands at $899.98 or less, the Golf Galaxy price on October 11, 2026.

Skip it if:

  • You're left-handed or need a different length or flex.
  • You're still deciding whether golf will stick. Spend less on a Wilson Profile.
  • You want a current Callaway set with the newest clubs. Look at REVA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Callaway Solaire golf clubs good for beginners?

Yes. The Solaire is built for women who are new to golf or coming back to it, with a 13.5-degree driver, a hybrid instead of long irons, lightweight graphite shafts, and two wedges. At $899.98 for the 2024 Solaire on October 11, 2026, though, a golfer who isn't sure she'll stick with it can start with a cheaper set.

How many clubs are in the Callaway Solaire set?

The 2024 Callaway Solaire set has nine clubs: a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, 7, 8, and 9 irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge, and mallet putter. With four headcovers and the bag, it's 14 pieces, even though some retailer listings call it a 10-piece set.

Is the Callaway Solaire discontinued?

It looks that way. Callaway's current women's complete sets are the REVA, Mavrik, and Strata families, and the Solaire isn't listed. You can still find the 2024 set at some retailers and marketplace sellers, but there's no guarantee it stays in stock.

Are Callaway Solaire clubs women's clubs?

Yes. The Solaire is Callaway's women's complete set, with ladies flex lightweight graphite shafts and women's standard length. The label doesn't guarantee it fits every woman, though, so a taller or faster-swinging golfer should check the flex and length first.

Is the Callaway Solaire the same as the Callaway REVA?

No. The REVA is Callaway's current women's set, and the REVA 11-piece was $1,499.99 on October 11, 2026. Callaway doesn't name a Solaire successor, so if the Solaire is sold out, REVA is where its own lineup sends you.

Final Thoughts: Callaway Solaire Golf Clubs Set Review

The 2024 Solaire is a good complete women's set. You get nine clubs, two of them wedges, the four headcovers, and a cart bag built for riding. If you want that exact package and you can get it for $899.98 or less, the Golf Galaxy price on October 11, 2026, buy it. If you're still figuring out whether golf is for you, grab a Wilson Profile and put the money you save toward lessons.
