To start, let’s take a look at all the metrics the SC300i measures. They include total and carry distance, smash factor, launch angle, swing speed, shot apex, and ball speed. That’s a pretty comprehensive list.
But how are all these data points measured? Via Doppler radar. Having used this launch monitor myself, I can attest that it’s highly accurate and reliable.
Another neat feature that’s different from other launch monitors is voice output for shot distance. This is really nice when you’re in a rhythm and want to hit a bunch of shots in a row. No having to stop, bend over, look at the screen, etc. Just keep firing away.
With that being said, the LCD display is bright and vibrant. You won’t have any problem seeing your numbers in any lighting condition.
For even more data and features, users are encouraged to download the app for iOS or Android. Doing so will allow you to track real-time data for each club in your bag and access spin data. To be clear, you don’t need the app, it just gives you some extra information and capabilities.
