Who Should Buy the Shot Scope Pro LX + Rangefinder?

We can group most rangefinders into a single category.  They give you yardage, maybe adjust for slope, and that’s about it.

That’s anything but the case with the Pro LX +.  It truly revolutionizes how we experience and play the game of golf.  Its breadth of technological features is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

So, if you’re a golfer that loves tech, likes being on the cutting edge, and wants to experience the game in a whole new way, the Shot Scope Pro LX + is for you.

Design and Technology

It’s hard to pick a starting point when discussing this rangefinder as it concerns design and technology.

Let’s start with the fact that this device is a rangefinder and GPS all in one.  That’s right, it comes with more than 36,000 preloaded courses that give you accurate GPS data in addition to the capability of using it as a rangefinder.  If you would rather use one or the other, simply detach the rangefinder and you’re good to go.  You can attach the GPS to your belt with the carabiner, or to any metal surface via the strong magnet.

A range of up to 900 yards, 7x magnification, and rapid-fire detection are just a few additional features golfers love about this rangefinder.

Red and black optics are some of the clearest we’ve ever seen.  They provide the perfect contrast to easily illuminate your target in any lighting condition.

When you buy the Pro LX +, you’ll want to be sure and download the free app too.  When you do, you’ll have access to free dashboard statistics.

The device’s shot tracking capabilities are second to none as well.  The GPS inventories a detailed history of every shot, plots them on the course map, allows you to share your rounds via the social feature, and gives access to more than 100 statistical metrics that can be broken down into the most finite of categories.

For your short game, PinCollect Technology provides you enhanced stats on and around the green.  This feature highlights strengths and weaknesses and will help you come up with a plan to improve quickly.

Also included are 16 tracking tags that you put on the butt end of your club.  Each of these interacts with the GPS to collect data pertinent to each individual weapon in your bag.

Rounding out the package are a battery life of up to 15 hours, and a two-year limited warranty that’s one of the best in the business.

Specs

The Pro LX + weighs just 201 grams.  It measures 119mm, by 42 mm, by 88mm. It’s accurate to within a single yard and has a range of up to 900 yards.

Display resolution is 176 pixels by 176 pixels and magnification is 7x. The Pro LX + is compatible with both iOS and Android.

Our Experience

Out of all the rangefinders I’ve tried (over 100) I’ve never seen one more technologically advanced than the Shot Scope Pro LX +.  The sheer number of functions, modes, and capabilities this rangefinder has blows me away.

While I still can’t understand how each one of them works, I can tell you that the tech in the Pro LX + is impressive beyond words, and is sure to help golfers of all experience levels better understand their game and improve.

I’ll be honest and say that this rangefinder is a bit over my head as a relative tech neophyte.  But if you’re someone that loves chewing on stats, analyzing patterns, and looking at raw data as a means of getting better, there’s nothing on the market that compares to this rangefinder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Shot Scope PRO Lx+ Laser Rangefinder Be Used in Tournament Play?

Yes, the Shot Scope PRO LX+ laser rangefinder can be used in tournament play, but be aware of accuracy limitations due to lock-on feature issues. It provides a competitive advantage with its slope technology, but check tournament rules beforehand.

Adaptive slope technology dynamically adjusts the range for uphill/downhill shots, providing precise distances. It enhances user experience by aiding in accurate target locking and range adjustment. This feature elevates the game for golfers seeking mastery.

Are There Any Tips or Tricks for Improving the Accuracy of Flag-Locking With the Rangefinder?

Improving accuracy and flag-locking with a rangefinder involves a firm grip, steady hands, and aiming at the flag’s base. User experiences vary, but adaptive slope technology aids in better yardage calculations. Customer feedback values technique over tricks.

How Does the Rangefinder Perform at Distances Closer to the Maximum 900 Yard Range?

At max 900-yard range, the rangefinder performs well, providing accurate readings. Close-range performance is precise, but improving accuracy on flag-locking is crucial. With x7 magnification and adaptive slope tech, it’s a solid choice for golfers seeking reliable shot tracking.
