Updated February 2024 to update current pricing information.

The Ping G Driver is the epitome of modern design and by far one of the most powerful and forgiving drivers on the market today. Golf Digest recognized the incredible technology in the Ping G Driver and gave it a Gold rating on their 2017 Hot List. PGA Tour players and major champions Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen have used the Ping G Driver to achieve great success, and if it helps them hit longer and straighter drives, it can help you too. If you are looking for a driver that delivers incredible distance with improved accuracy and forgiveness, keep reading to see if the Ping G Driver is right for you.

Key Features

  • The Ping G Driver utilizes an innovative design called Dragonfly Technology. Thinner sections on the crown removes weight from this area which helps improve the center of gravity and moment of inertia, resulting in more optimal launch and more forgiveness.
  • Improved aerodynamics in the Ping G Driver is thanks to the club’s Vortec Technology. Not only does this improve the club’s ability to swing with less drag, it also stabilizes the clubhead through impact, providing more stability on off-center hits.
  • The Variable Thickness TS9 Face is thinner and produces explosive distance no matter where the ball is struck on the clubface. Less weight in the face also improves the center of gravity, moving it lower and deeper.

Ping G Driver Detailed Review

Design and Technology

The Ping G Driver has been engineered for the player looking for high launch and low spin, and the way they achieve this is by moving weight away from the face and the crown. The TS9 clubface is thinner and provides incredible pop when the ball is struck solidly. Even on off-center hits, the Ping G Driver produces longer tee shots than many of its predecessors. The combination of Dragonfly Technology and Crown Turbulators serve the dual purpose of removing weight from the crown as well as improving the overall aerodynamics of the clubhead. The end result is a lower CG and increased MOI, which translates into high launch, low spin, and higher clubhead speed.

Like many modern drivers available today, the Ping G Driver can be adjusted plus or minus one degree. What makes the Ping G Driver special compared to other adjustable drivers is the lightweight aluminum hosel sleeve. The sleeve lessens the amount of weight in the hosel, allowing you to customize your driver without sacrificing performance, especially with the center-of-gravity location.

GX7 Golf Club

The GX7 Golf Club is amazing little club, even though it is “As Seen on TV”. We all know that the hardest part of golf is being consistent, especially when we are hitting off of the tee box. That is why the pros are the pros, and we are amateurs. But have you ever wondered if the reason why you are not consistent when hitting off the tee box is because you are using the same golf club that the pros use, and not a golf club made for amateurs. Well this is the exact theory behind the GX7 Golf Club. A golf club made for amateurs that provides the hitting consistency of a pro. So if you can get over the fact that the GX7 is a “As Seen on TV” Golf Club, you might be amazed by what this little club can do. The GX7 Golf Club is a great driver for a high handicap golfer looking to improve their game both on and off the tee box.
