Drive for show and putt for dough. Everyone knows the old saying, but no one takes it as seriously as the engineers and designers at Cure Putters. When Cure first introduced its CX1 putter in 2016, it was not only a massive success, but it also received the Silver rating on Golf Digest’s Hot List.

Since then, Cure has kept the look the same but made significant advancements to improve feel at impact. Players from the professional ranks to the weekend club golfer have widely embraced the CX1 for its state-of-the-art construction, design, and consistency. If you’re a player looking for the very best in putter design and performance, then the CX1 may be the club for you.

Key Features

  • Tungsten weights in the heel and toe create extremely high MOI for greater forgiveness and control at impact.
  • The higher center of gravity, lower loft, and deeper face get the ball rolling more quickly helping it stay on line.
  • Six adjustable weights allow players to adjust the head weight anywhere from 334 grams to 376 grams depending on personal preference or green speeds.

Cure CX1 Putter Detailed Review

Design and Technology

When Cure Putters came into existence in 2013, its founders identified several problems plaguing golfers who are inconsistent on the green. With the CX1, Cure developed a putter that can easily alleviate many of these issues, including: unforgiving technology, ill-fitting equipment, lack of stability and control through impact, and inconsistent roll off the face.

With a slightly oversized 5-inch blade, the CX1 boasts a precision milled perimeter weighted face that is made of aircraft aluminum. This innovative design helps to move the center of gravity higher than on most putters, so that the contact point is at the equator of the golf ball instead of below it. Coupled with a loft of only 2.5 degrees, the CX1 produces putts that can quickly roll off its face, alleviating the skid effect typical of putters with higher lofts and lower centers of gravity.

Central to consistent putting is also having the proper fit. With Cure’s innovative shaft disc assembly, players can quickly and easily make simple adjustments to their length and lie angle. The CX1 putter provides players with interchangeable center or heel shafts in variations of both standard and mid-length. Additionally, the putter’s lie angle can easily be adjusted with a few twists of a simple wrench. Six adjustable heel and toe weights can be paired in a variety of combinations to fit your personal preference. All these options give players plenty of choices to create the perfect putter for their stroke, body type, and green speed.
